For sale Summit climbing treestand. Bought it last year and only used it once.I really don't feel comfortable in a climber and decided that I will stick with my ladder stands. I payed over $300.00 for it but will sell it for $225.00.

I have been living here in Chenango County all my life and spend most of my time outdoors either hunting or cutting firewood.I have never found a tick on me here, but that doesn't mean that they are not around.My brother has been bit twice.The only time I found ticks on myself was down to Florida 2yrs ago while hiking in the Ocala National Forest.I found 2.It amazes me that they can bury their heads right into your skin and you don't feel it, but have a deer fly bite you and OUCH!

I was posting our property a few years ago,and there is parts of our property that I only see while posting.While posting one these areas I discovered an area that someone had cleared by cutting young trees and sapplings.In this cleared area I found a pot plant that had been cut already.I called the sherriff and a deputy was there in 20 mins.We found several more plants.I didn't know pot plants grew so big.There was a beaten path going right to the neighbors.So it wasn't hard to figure out who it was.I even got restitution for the trees he cut down.

I 'm sure that all the gun shots for deer that you hear during the youth season are not all being made by youths.I still think it is a good thing for the most part and wish they had one when I was young.Congrats to all the young hunters!

I didn't hear any shots yesterday, nor did I hear about any youth shooting a deer here locally.

For most of us who are limited to just hunting here in NY that isn't reality.I agree that those midwest states you mentioned that is a reality.

I remember the old days before trail cameras when I would go out with a pair of binoculars and watch a field at the edge of the woods just before dark .I spent many hours doing that back then and I enjoyed doing it.Now days I don't have near as much free time as I used to , it's nice to have a trail camera .

Stuff like that happens all the time.Neighbor cutting firewood,small game hunters,neighbor's dog etc.Season is long enough to have some quality time in the woods.

Do you have a trail camera? They are a great tool for patterning deer.

If you want to create good cover for deer,plant norway spruce or japaneese larch.Both grow fast and make great cover for deer and other wildlife. To maintain your clover plot,spray with an herbicide to kill grass and broad leaf weeds so they won't take over plot.

If you decide on a tractor, buy one that has a front end bucket loader and is 4 wheel drive.

Thanks! 6yrs ago this was a 7acre corn field, We planted 5,000 larch on it for deer cover and left a 2 acre strip down the center for the food plot.Seems to be working.

Criminals will always have guns.Look at the billions the Gov't spends on the war with drugs yet in probably most any community in this state if you knew the right people you could buy just about any illegal drug. I don't know what the answer is but these shootings are happening more and more to the point where people are not safe at the movies, the mall ,work or at school but I do feel better knowing that I can protect my home and family because I own a gun.

I have a 7R DMP and don't really need it ,so if anyone wants it let me know.I will mail it to the 1st one who responds.
