  1. Yeh, but is it more fuel efficient? My point is, there will be gimmicks and reinventing of the wheel all the time, but sometimes things do progress.
  2. Sid, I may be too late, but have you looked into Pro lines in queens?
  3. I saw the 3 per vehicle regulation posted right out front. This was just this year and was there last year as well.
  4. I think Sid was kidding, he's just expressing his envy for all the nice deer harvested and all he has to show for it is empty forest. Sid, most will agree that hunting is not always about the harvest, but the experience leading up to a good harvest. Your time will come young padawan!
  5. Carbons2k, we do get together from time to time to socialize and to promote the sport and get newer hunters enjoying the woods and making sure what they're doing is safe. We usually go after squirrels since they are a lot of fun and meets the criteria of still able to socialize in a group atmosphere. If you're interested, PM me your contact info and I'll keep you on the loop when we have our next outing.
  6. Just goes to show there's not enough bucks to breed all the does in the area. 3rd rut.
  7. DEC has a large concentration of ECO in Suffolk. Any one of them would be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. You can reach them via cell phone. If you're ever interested in getting you your feet wet and "popping your hunting cherry" you're more than welcome to join some of us from NYC area when we go upstate for some small game.
  8. Nice to see that there are some deer left in there. How far were the deer from you? Did they spot you? Shot anything?
  9. This was shot down I believe. Bloomberg is not happy, but I am.
  10. Was referring to this new high tech gun, I don't see it using any red dots that project from the gun.
  11. No where does it state that a red dot is projected from any device on the gun, does it?
  12. Seen the one that hangs around Owl Head Park at Bay Ridge take down and consume a pigeon.
  13. Heart of Flushing, one block from the Library. Right across the street from the new Target, BJ's etc. The 6 squirrels underneath didn't seem to mind it's presence.
  14. Was going to upload a photo of a hawk I saw in Flushing NY, but it's not working on my Tapatalk.
  15. Night vision is allowed for hunting, and I do believe light is used to make NV function. You do use range finders, right?
  16. What's the advantage to joining so called leagues?
  17. This is a shooter's rifle, not a hunter's rifle. There's many debates that can be had from this, one being we as hunters today use technologies that was not available to our ancestors years back. No difference.
