I hit Srague's when ever Im in Portville, great food. I have been hunting that area since I was 15, in fact Sprague's sap lines, that run up the back hill, end up all over the property I hunt on top of the hill. I have taken a bunch of bucks that were working their way through the lines LOL!! Where is Beef'n Barrel ??

Lousy Meal At The ..........................................
ants replied to Lawdwaz's topic in General Chit Chat
70 minutes? No way I would have lasted…. I've never even come close to waiting that long, to be served, in any restaurant. I would have left, the wife would have bitched at me for being old and impatient, the ride home would have been very tense and quiet and we wouldn't have spoken for a day or two, but no way I would have waited that long. Hats off to ya…. -
Then whats with that stink'n jacket??? LOL!

If you want a semi, My choice would be either the Mossberg 935 or the Rem versa max. I had a 935, great turkey gun that shot unbelievable patterns, and was 100% reliable with 3 1/2" and 3" loads. Friends of mine have the Versa Max and report the same results. I currently use the Mossberg 835, that I have used since around 1993. It also has the original green woodland camo pattern. I use 3 1/2 inchers out of it…. . Bad Ass turkey rig.

Lousy Meal At The ..........................................

I almost hate to say it..but I have had very, very few bad experiences in restaurants, and we eat out a lot. The bad times I have had, I just make a mental note and don't go back. Unless the waitress/waiter is a total zero I tip as usual regardless of the food. If their service is bad…heres a buck -

Was that Onondaga Co.? -
How cool was that??!!! Makes me want to get out and check my local spot. I've been seeing them in the fields, from the road, but I haven't taken a walk in quite a while. I hope they stick around for you.

For what its worth I own a Polaris sportsman & 3 of my buddies do as well. we ride these things hard and non of us have ever had a problem with belts. I had a belt drive Arctic cat that I rode for years and sold to a friend 7 years ago. Same belt on it with zero problems so far.

Well at least you got it so Congrats. I have heard that Onondaga Co. took for ever and very few carry permits were given out. I never understood how one man (the judge) can decide who can carry and who can't. Clean record, background check passed…..What the hell? -

Anyone have a PA non resident carry permit?
ants replied to Zem18's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I plan on getting a state of Utah permit. There are up coming classes in my area. The Utah permit is recognized in 30+ states, Pennsylvania being one of them. Im not sure if it would allow full carry. I just recently found out about the Utah permit and I have to check into all the regulations a little more. Total cost for the class is around $150.00 -
You're good.

Bloomberg to spend $50 MIL
ants replied to WingNut's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
He can certainly try. Trying and pulling it off are two different things. IMHO he is just a super rich, bored arrogant little douche who will do anything to leave his mark. No matter how ill-conceived his mark may be He has to prove that he is so above anyone else, that he can pull it off. I think its just a big ego thing for this little man. He is a true turd wrapped in gold. Big deal. -
Look for this winner to sue the building owner and to come out with a new CD titled something like "YO WHERE MY D(@K AT ?? …..BITCHES"….. Will Probably hit #1

I was walking/running up a power line cut, trying to get to a spot that I had checked out a week prior, that seemed promising.I had a good 1/4 mile to go yet. It was already daylight and I was running late. All the sudden I heard a loud gobble off to the left of the power line. I ran back a good 100yrds and ducked into the woods, off to the left of the power line road. I set up and called…..he answered…I called….he answered …I called……..and nothing. Then I remembered the old timer, who taught me to hunt, telling me that ..once they answer you, they know where you are so shut up.. I shut up and waited…I seemed like a good hour but it was more like 15 minutes or so. I stayed quiet and still and the tom finally walked in, quietly and I hammered him at about 25 yds. He was a nice one and I was so psyched that I could hardly think straight.

So was I -
Yup.. Im the same with deer. I passed on a buck this year (rifle season) that I planned to shoot, as soon as I saw him. It was just a few minutes into shooting time and I was hunting all day, so after watching him for a minute or two, I said "screw it" and I let him walk. I did the same thing Thanksgiving morning, with a big doe. I ended up with tag soup this year, but….what ever. I don't know what it is but sometimes I change my mind at the last second.
-
I took mine in 1979. No shooting. Its just as well. The #1 instructor was a big, old, grizzled ,mean loud ex DEC officer. I don't think a single one of us would have survived a day on the firing line with that guy….

DON'T COMPLY! YOU'LL HAVE PLENTY OF COMPANY.

It is extremely frustrating to listen to these anti gun proponents drone on and on with their nonsensical, incorrect "facts". They are never challenged on them. I often think back of a "fact filled" interview that, Dianne Finestien gave to Bob Schieffer, concerning gun violence. It was sickening. She just went on and on with her made up gun statistics , and the interviewer never said boo to her. He never challenged her on a single point. Sickening. -
I will hold off the first week or so, but after that it all depends on how I feel at the moment. I have had my mind made up to shoot them only to let them walk at the last second, and I have ended up shooting them after first deciding to let them slide. No rhyme or reason. I guess Im just weird that way.
