    I hear ya..I remember buying Federal standard slugs (which my smooth bore loved) for 99 cents, on sale, right before the season. I think I still have a couple boxes. If these prices keep going up I might have to go back to old school. It worked well back then and I sure nothing has changed

    Just ticks me off ....Im sure it dosent cost much more to make the sabots. the price goes up every year. Lightfield-$20 Hornedy $21 Win supreme $20....Its crazy. I have enough sabots to last another season or two I guess I'll decide what to do once I'm out.

    Nice !! a friend of mine has a hunting camp in Hammondsport. we use to do pretty well in that creek that runs out of the lake into the village. cant remember the name of it. ......But nice catch.

    With the price of sabots going through the roof I was just wondering if anyone went back to ,or is thinking about going back to, smooth bore with the standard slugs. I bought a rifled barrel gun last year (Browning 20 ga. BPS) but I might get rid of it because the price of ammo is just crazy . Some of this stuff is $5.00 a round

    Cabinfever---We are on the EXACT SAME PAGE!!! It's about 90 out right now and no one is even home!!!! My son is running around the neighborhood with friends and the wife and girls are at the stink'n MALL !!!

    "Money pit" is right!!! Between the cost of buying the pool, landscaping around it, adding a patio, running the filter and buying the chemicals every year I could have sent one of my kids through college. I'm SERIOUS!!! AND THE WIFE & KIDS DON'T EVEN GO IN IT THAT MUCH ANYMORE!!!!!!!!

    Thanx for the info. Im gonna try it. I've had an in ground for years and I spend a fortune every year on the chemicals. Infact the pool clouded up the other day and so far I've spent at least $30 trying to clear it up.

    Okay so after the Yanks signed a contrat with A-Rod, for what ever amount of years, they should be able to stiff on it ,if they don't like his performance during that contract time.... Got it.... I'm sure you would go for that too!!!! Same thing people. "off topic?" NOPE!

    Don't do the knee jerk bash the cops thing....yeah some of them abuse it, I agree, but some of those guys you see are actually on the phone getting information on the way to or from a call. maybe you wont buy that but its true. Worst offenders??? REALLY???

    Thats why A-Rod, makes way, way, way more money than the "average" player. He makes the team (corporation) much more successful and profitable than the "average" player. He's one of the absolute best at what he does. Same thing with these CEO's, like it or not. If the Yankees (corporation) lost every game to the other teams (corporations) then the Yanks would no longer exist and the entire Yeankee team would have to try to find jobs with the more successful teams. It's all the same thing.

    I see it all day every day. Mostly, but not allways, youngsters. Im sure thats how alot of these accedents ( alot of them fatal) happen. Damn shame.

    Stating about a month or so ago, when ever I click on a topic the top half of my screen goes black. The home page is fine but whenever I choose a topic....bow hunting, Chit chat..etc. I have this problem. Also, when I respond to a topic my responce is posted 2 or 3 times.

    Yeah... I've seen them strut in summer when hens are with them.. but a few days ago I saw a Tom strut all alone in the driveway of a house not far from mine. I'm sure there were hens near by that I did'nt see. Since I missed the whole season, due to an injury, It Ticked me off, but what can you do? ... I guess they're like deer....you cant figure them out.
