I would head out real early (still dark out) and sneak just inside the woods (50 yards or so) at the side of the field you have been seeing them. When it's just light enough to see try a few very soft yelps and listen. If a Tom answeres dont jump all over him. He knows about where you are. Give it a good half minute to a minute and do it again but just a little louder. see what happens. It's hard to resist calling to a bird that is going nuts gobbleing But IMHO playing a little hard to get works pretty well. If you're set on the field blind then I kinda agree with deerpassion.

I never found them!. But she is gone all day today so I just got back with a fresh supply.

Jennifer..I hunt in Portville. Thats the first place I ever saw a tick and that was around the time you were born. They have been there at least since then.. Thats where I found that one in my arm. Any deer we bring home have to stay in the back of the truck or on the ATV trailers, well away from anything you bring in the house. It's bad down there. I could go on... but its bad.

I killed my knee, after an uneventful tukey opener, and am out for the season. Got cabin fever already so A little while ago I hobbled myself into the truck and took a drive. There were 2 nice looking Toms and a few hens out in the field near the wood line, right where I hunt.(where do ya think they'll roost tonite?) To make matters worst.. I pulled back into the driveway right when the wife was pulling in. She got peed that I went out, with the bad kicker, so out of spite she hid my last 3 beers. Hope I can find them after she goes to bed. Spelled story wrong...just noticed.....sourray

stinks. But I guess thats one of the reasons we hunt them.

I had to pull one out of my arm a couple of years age and the head stayed in. Had to dig at it with a needle and tweesers for a good 20 min. to get it all out. If I had to do that to the hardware I still be crying.

Listened to a news piece last week that said he was charged with possessing "evidence of a kill" A game warden found hair and blood on an arrow in his quiver. The sitting judge said on record that he never even heard of the law he was charged with. But hey!!! long hair .... supposed draft dodger??? screw him!!! DAMN HIPPIE!!!!!!!! with that rock and roll music!!!

I work at an international airport, part time 1 or 2 times a week. The Federal standards are very high. Trust me, they will not let the average Joe shmow hunter in there, no matter how honest and upstanding a citizen he is....... By the way the bucks are unbelievable.... HUGE TROPHY BUCKS... that die of old age!!! It's nuts!!!

I have an old rem. 700(30-06) and a new Ruger M-77 (7MM-08) both leftys. Their both good, but if I had to choose one I' say the 700 all the way. It's smoother, and a little more accurate. I agree 100% with Lawdwaz on the box mag. thing. Why risk losing it in the woods or forgetting it all together?

Just saying!! I have shot deer with a .243 and although it works ( in my experience) its not that great.. .When compaired to other rounds!! Just one "clowns" opinion!! Thought I'd Chme in!! If you dont like the .243 you're a Clown???? BTW killer tough guy pose with that buck !!!!!

Cool looking pup!! We had a Maltese when I was kid..He stalked birds and squirals all day in the back yard. One time he caught a bird ......my sister freaked out!!
