they say there are extra for that area, so I would say it's worth trying......the question is how many are available? I would say make the time and get down to an issuing agent asap.

I agree, if $100 is that important to you that that's the reason you take any deer, maybe the $100 should be spent on more important stuff that you need.
-
that's a nice looking gun...sometimes the gun you take an animal with is more satisfying than the animal you take.
-
what's the pay and retirement difference between the two?
-
what are you hunting with? crossbow is easier to get away with on the ground than a longbow.

the amount of money I invest in a license and other expenses plays no part in my need or explanation for taking any deer.....as said before, some hunters spend enough money between travel, equipment and travel to far exceed what they get back in meat from a deer. I wish I had a choice of taking any deer I choose, but unfortunately mandatory antler restrictions took care of that in my area...unlike many other areas, my license doesn't allow me the luxury of taking any deer I want, so I'm glad money or meat isn't an issue, otherwise I'd be more pissed off about the restrictions.

I have an old Parker Bros. shotgun that was my Great Grandfathers......it's about 95 years old, and if it could talk, it could tell a few stories about killing deer with buckshot.
-
do all animals or birds that are hunted have antlers? maybe there's a definition of deer hunting somewhere.....

they had a problem years back were some rifles fired when the bolt was closed on a live round......I'm gonna say early to mid 70's. -
right behind the ear......

I hunt deer because I enjoy hunting and don't have a particular goal, it's a day by day decision......I don't need the deer meat to survive nor do I need a mount to hang on my wall.
-
even less need for under kill, I'll stick to the .308 & 30-06 for my deer hunting.
-
don't people know how to hunt without gadgets anymore?

although the game farm industry may bring in a lot of money, I think it's chump change in the grand scheme of things, and if the gov't decides that it's a major problem as far as CWD goes, I think they can make problems for those who make money off of it..whether it be a total shutdown (unlikely) or demands that are too costly too many.....they've crippled may industries before and can't see this as any different....this isn't a dig towards deer farms, but what I see the gov't capable of no matter what the business may be.

I have a lifesaver in my bagtag holder that my daughter gave me for good luck one year..........it's 21 years old now.

Possibly the biggest buck ever killed on camera

75% of the butchers who pop up before the season are fly by night operations who will butcher anything you bring them.....I bet there are more foul smelling deer brought in that aren't quite fresh due to poor handling than being left overnight and get a little bloated...not to argue that proper care isn't important to good venison, but that's probably the least of the reasons that deer aren't properly cared for....and leaving a deer overnight in cool enough temperatures will not spoil it to the point of being inedible or get you turned away from a butcher. -
How Did The Debate Go?

I think he'll do a lot better in the election than most anticipate...how well is the question. -
well, if you wanted to hang a stand close to his, won't you be hunting the property line as well? I have no problem hunting property lines as long as you have no intention of shooting a deer that may go die on his....I sit property lines facing away from the other property, I was questioned once about this by the other landowner and simply said "would you rather I sit 100 yards away and shoot towards your property?" keep in mind the way I expected the deer to travel was not in a direction that would take them onto theirs, just thought of safety and where my shot would travel.

which part, the having sex or getting a deer?
-
there is a very good chance she will survive and all the tracking and help would not have made a difference.......people get cut badly every year and bleed like stuck pigs, receive no medical attention and live to tell about it, you made what seems like a very good effort...don't lose any sleep over it....it's a clean cut, not like a gunshot that fills the wound with hair and othe crap, there's stories every year of guys taking deer with healed over wounds and broadheads left in the body and when they shot the deer they appeared perfectly healthy, move on and go get one.
-
I just use unscented dryer sheets, never been a problem.......I would think wet clothes would pick up more scent hanging indoors to dry.

when I belonged to Deer Search I had the form for the hunter to sign stating that they had permission and that was supposed to put any trespassing violations fall on the hunter.

what does "bloat" smell like? -
I would love to experience that....buckshot and all!

I agree, I would take that as meaning the guy is tight on money and looking to save some by offering something else...if he wants $400 tell him you'll knock $250 off the price or no deal...gotta ask yourself what's more important, if you're starving for another gun go for what he's asking if not, the ball is in your court so play it accordingly.
