If you don't already, Tie your seat & bottom together on both sides,towards the front of the 2 parts, that way you won't lose your bottom part. Also when you get where you want to be tighten those 2 lines up at the front corners of the seat part & when you stand up to take a shot your weight will put pressure on the front of seat part & stop it from slideing down the tree too. There is a Co. that makes adjustable straps that do this same thing but I can't think of its name. Also check out the Q- Safe climbing system at blindedhunting,com I have one & it works great . Just plain Stupid !!!

My first partner & I were like brothers all through high school. We hunted ,fished , did everything together into our 20's. Then he got married , his wife told me don,t even call their house. I figured he would fix that & call if he wanted to get together, never heard from him again! She did that to all his friends, they got devoriced 7yrs. later. The second partner was great same thing hunted , fished together all the time 10- 12 yrs. every thing was great then he ups & dies on me at age 47! That was16 yrs. ago. Been pretty much alone ever sense. Get to hunt with son in law & a few buddies now and then but just not the same as a regular partner that you get to know how each other hunt & fish when together. S*#ks

Sorry but I have the winning ticket ! Its to bad with this big of prize that they don't pick 100 tickets & spread the wealth around.

I took my girls fishing , hiking, & with me when scouting deer & calling turkeys. Never actually took them hunting but they know all the things to look for & understand them, scrapes, rubs, runs , etc.. They have shot guns & bows, but they just never got into the killing part . I don't know why but I never pushed it . I think 12 yrs. old is about right to start if the kid wants too.

I worked for power co. for 40 yrs. I know some right of ways are leased , some one time payments, some owned by the power co. all are different. The ones leased or one time payments belong to the property owners that the lines cross & you need their permmision to hunt them. (private property)
