    Worked with a guy who thought the same thing until he heard the safty click off in the middle of the night. She blew a hole in the wall & for some reason they got divorced after that!

    They leave the heaters on in the cold weather & leave the AC on all summer, thats why they keep the cars running & thats why they sit in them. The bullit proof vest are hot.

    Doc, FYI there is a good review on your new Ruger American rifle in the Dec,2012 issure of NRA. American Hunter mag. pg.# 62. rifle looks & sounds like a keeper.

    Same here ,but I do have others I enjoy shooting.

    I beleive years ago NY hunting hours were 1/2 hr before sunrise & 1/2 hr after sunset,for all game, maybe some of the older people here remember this to be true. As far as NY bowhunters working with the state, they are against crossbows & youth hunts already. (reaction time). Mandatory B/O., not sure but I wear it so I can be seen & don't get shot , I feel its a good idea imo.

    We had a saying at work, if you can't tie a good knot tie alot of them! . I use the stick in the loop trick and always wonder if the stick will break also when the weapon is 10 ft. off the grd.

    Put a 270 ro 30/06 barrel on your T/C. sounds like a plan. . MY buddy has a 270 on an H&R single shot & is deadly accurate with it, its a nice little gun for the money. I have one in 223 for varmit hunting and it shoots great also. JMO.

    All I ever used was a smooth bore 12 ga.870 until about 5yrs.ago when I went to a 50 cal. ML. Tried a rifled 20 ga last yr. & was zeroing in one today & still am not sure they are cracked up to what people say they are. I may stick with my 870 & the 50 cal. ML. took many a deer with the 870. Best was a 92yd. shot with sluggers.
