  1. I agree with Grouse in post #9 100%. I also think Ted is nuts at times. But I give the guy credit he uses his freedom of speech to get him point across on our 2nd. right! He also has his facts together on hunting & gun control. Did anyone catch his speech at the Golden Moose awards program I say he was right on the money there too.
  2. TOTAL B.S. those people should all be locked up! What a bunch of crap ! Talk about slob hunters they make them look good compared to these guys! I watched a show the other day that wasn't much better it was at Quest Haven lodge in Pa. all these big name" hunters" were in baited stands shooting monster bucks all over 180" it did not look like fair chase either. It's no wonder people are down on hunting & hunters when they see this crap.
  3. try encloseing it as much as you can then put the decoy over it,& possibly stuff the decoy with foam/something lite maybe ? good luck, nice idea .
  4. Be carefull with bass pro, they were to come to Buffalo, but they wanted the tax payers to pay for 80% of the place . BS imo.
  5. Love the heart but don't eat any type of liver. My parents loved liver of any type. Karp. sounds like you don't leave much of a gut pile in the woods! lol
  6. Buy a cottage on the finger lakes fish & hunt all the near by state lands, best of both worlds!
  7. Don't know if its the same thing but you can buy expoldeing targets from Sportsmans guide cat. in different sizes. A buddie of mine had some we shot off at his camp, pretty big flash & quite a bang, lots of fun!
  8. If I was younger I would head to Ohio, many good areas within an 8 hr. drive, plus lots of good state land to hunt big bucks also !

    10 point

You starred him down, nice buck & mount.
  10. I agree with Elmo 100%, what a bunch of BS!! She was just another druggie singer that did it to her self. No honor there !
  11. Wooly, been there, nice stuff but very pricey but they always have been with all they sell there. I go there as last resort only.
  12. Fasteddie , I DO like your avatar, makes me laugh ! Our V.P. for sure.
  13. NFA, I have to agree with WNY's last post here . I have been hunting 48 yrs. and do feel I have enough experiance & shooting know how to use a x bow if I want. I have hunted with shotgun , recurve, compound bow, rifle, muzzleloader & now I think it would be nice to try a x bow just for something new & different. Also to the people who think the youth would be missing out on the old ways, how about requireing them to use a long bow or compound the first year of archery hunting & teaching them the in & outs of the bows. (see now the compound is the old way,who would have thought!) Seeing that the hunting age is lower now & they have plenty of time to learn & hunt. Just a thought. If I do get a x bow it would be nice to use it whenever I would like to no matter what the season.
  14. Congrats, grandkids are the greatest!
  15. It just blows me away that all these people in the public eye that have everything going for them & more money than they will ever need end up killing themselves with drugs & alcohol .
  16. Red, we fish the lake for walleye & perch . Never fished Tiff farm.
  17. There's a lot of nice deer there along Furham Blvd. & Ohio st. area! We see many when going fishing all summer in the early Am. You can see the runs coming down under the fenceing to cross the road, sure would like to get in there ! Turkeys too.
  18. I sort of agree with Early, I have 2 ,870's one has the factory open sights & the other has a 1.75 - 5 x scope on it. Both are smooth bore & both have taken deer at 90 -110 yds just fine using 1oz. rem sluggers. The open sight is dead on at 75 Yds & the scope is 2" hi at 80 yds. I also have a Mossberg 20 ga. fully rifled with a scope which is not much better if at all & I hate spending the $$ for the ammo. I have spent about $60 to sight it in & I still am not happy with it.
  19. Very nice buck & mount. Great to have the sheds along with it.

    Climbers

should have 2 ropes/straps on it . I had one drop with only one strap on it & the bottom went down cocked & wedged itself on the tree & would not move. Luckily I could just reach it with my bow & got it leveled out , also don't make ropes longer than 5'.
  21. Fasteddie, love your new avatar, that guy always reminds me of our V.P. lol
  22. Buffalo wings, beef on weck, friday fish frys all the best!!
