Ground hunting is OK. You have to watch the wind and the scent trail you leave. I have had some success sitting on a ridge overlooking a valley with some serious trails.

DOE HUNTER HERE. Used to hunt horns, had a hard time tenderizing them. Any age doe will taste better than any buck young or old.

Sports Authority on Norther BLVD in Lic and Atlantic sporting Goods on Steinway street are two places in Queens that will hook you up. If you don't drive in the city take N train to Queensboro for Sports Authority and 36th ave or Broadway for Atlantic.
