Wish i knew the answer to that! Been trying rattling bleats grunts snort wheeze doe pee! You name it ive probably tried it. Seems alot of deer have gone nocturnal. Hoping this weekend they come out during the day!

I went out this weekend and this morning...lots of tracks but zero deer sightings.

Always remembered hearing this saying and man has it rang true over the years... dont pass a deer the first day that you would shoot on the last. Guess it has alot to do with luck and being in the right place at the right time

A friendly contest between hunters detracts from the sport? Your kidding right? If anything we have gained people that want to hunt. Its not all about horns and big deer. Some guys dont get any but they still keep hunting and still participate. And to be fair...if you win one of the categories you might go home with a keystonebeer antler plaque lol

I know...wasnt referring to online contests. I dont mind spending the 20$ because its a great group of guys that normally participate.

Does anybody else put on or participate in friendly contests? My dad does it every year and it costs 20$ to get in. Money is mostly for the party in january and goes towards cost of munchies and beer. Normally have about 10-15 guys. We have biggest buck and doe for archery and gun. Just wondering it anyone else did anything like this? Just got a phone call my 120# doe just got jumped by a 128# doe! Im still on the podium though! I won archery buck thankfully!
