  1. I'm open-minded on this subject. I don't think I'll use a crossbow, only because I love shooting my compound so much. I won't say never to crossbows, but not for me in the near future. I'm curious to know if you hunt with a compound?
  2. I'm going to modify my crossbow to make it semi-auto. ...this popcorn is making me thirsty.
  3. If you do a search, you'll see other threads that have offered proof of cougars in NY. There was thread that went about 9 pages of a "proof of cougars in Newburgh" with a pic of a cougar eating a deer in the road. A photo that had been taken out west. I do think it is possible, but I've only seen hoaxes so far.
  4. That one buck taken during gun season has a really wide rack.
  5. Very Nice. I love it in black. I was at the indoor range last night shooting my Elite Z28
  6. I read the article and the school response was a student cannot wear clothing that is "disruptive" or "promotes violence". The shirt merely showed support for our second amendment. If clothing cannot promote violence then they better have all students remove any clothing promoting football, as that is clearly advocating a VIOLENT sport. May as well extend that to hockey, boxing, karate, wrestling. What an insane country we are living in.
  7. It is hard for me to fathom someone that has a carry permit and still pushes for idiotic gun control laws. I wonder if he is related to Colin Ferguson(LIRR Shooter)
  8. Which brings up a recent issue with Eric Holder. He wants inmates to be able to vote. This is unfair to minorities to lose their vote because they are incarcerated. A blatant attempt to benefit the Democratic Party.
  9. Obamacare will be a huge disaster. The premise of affordable care relied on the young, healthy people signing up for insurance on the website. That is not happening. My forecast is that in the future we will be watching senate hearings on TV that will be investigating the misapropriation of funds that were illegally diverted into Obamacare to make the program appear to be less of a disaster than it really is. Shame on the people that voted for this creep.
  10. Good choice on a bow. I love my Elite Z28. I am a bit surprised at how expensive some of those quivers are.
  11. I like the spelling on this one, "It's horrorable" LOL
  12. Thanks for the update Coyote Hunter. The advice to put it in writing is a good one. In my business, written complaints cannot be ignored.
  13. BACK ON TOPIC... Coyote Hunter- Please update us after you've had your talk with your daughter's teacher. I'm curious to see the response from the teacher.
  14. Somethng like that, I would go to Amazon and read the reviews on al the bluetooth speaker systems. I do this on every tech type of purchase.
  15. Sounds great. The nice thing is it's a reasonable driving distance.
  16. I agree with Phade. Every corporate decision is evaluated with the potential outcome. Gun owners are a minority. I don't invest in Dicks, mostly because I rarely invest in retailers. I bought and sold Cabela's for a small profit, just because I knew most analysts were underestimating the sales of firearms and all the additional sales that a firearms brings (ammo, cases, safes, cleaning equip, optics etc.) I made nice money on RGR and SWHC for the same reasons, but I am out of those now also. I'm long Apple, VZ,T,VOD,CREE,SBUX,YOKU,SINA,QIHU. I've been positioning my portfolio into more solid companies over the past 6 months. I don't own any put contracts right now, but I wish I did over the past couple of days.
  17. I applaud the fact that Ford is taking steps to improve the fuel economy of it's vehicles. I like that they are trying to innovate. I will wait and see the real world reviews from owners. I hope it's a success.
  18. Tennis elbow- I've been an avid tennis player for 40 years, I've never had tennis elbow, until last year. Last spring I developed tennis elbow from pulling the arrows out of the NEW target butts that the archery range had installed. The new butts were extremely difficutl to pull my arrows from. I shot for maybe 90 minutes. I was sweating from the effort of pulling my arrows. I tried my Scorpion Venom, but it made it hard to grip the arrow on the pullout. That night of shooting gave me tennis elbow. I made up my mind to avoid the indoor range for a while till the new butts were broken in. I actually solved that problem by only shooting FMJ arrows, this I highly recommend. The tennis elbow took about 4 months to go away. I still played tennis, but with pain. It was painful just to lift my coffee cup. I did not find any relief, other than letting time heal it. Good luck, I've felt your pain.
  19. My guess is they would discontinue certain powders where they see an overlap.
  20. I love irony, the name of the aide that was fired is Briget. They should call her GW briget.
