Could be the eagle spooked them off traditional roosting areas. OR, it could simply be like my area where they are not roosting traditionally with no outside eagle interference. I'm experiencing the same thing here in 9H, but nothing obvious is jumping out at me that would influence a roosting area change from this year to the last 30 or so.

Seriously GREAT job! I enjoyed it thoroughly just the way it was with no complaints of anything added or anything missing.. BUT , since you asked how to make it better.... anyone who sticks around till the end of the show has no problem watching the credits roll, Maybe a few "stil /field photos" to wrap things up and give credit to the successful hunters that made this production possible would be nice.. You know them smiling faces that come after the kill.

I spend a lot of time alone......... thinking to myself, lol
-
Pheeeew,.... I thought you were gonna have to open a window to let the smoke out!
-
I wonder if the dang thing ain't haunted or possessed! If your mechanic can't figure it out you may want to hit the car wash at the church to get it hosed down with some of that holy water! I also find it slightly ironic this happened near "Loon Lake".... that coincidently sounds like something right out of a Steven King novel, lol
-
Just curious... did you check to make sure your gas peddle isn't getting hung up under your floor mat? I've had that happen before.
-
Ohhhhh baby... "who's the boss?".., HE'S the boss! Great gobbler almighty! Congrats!

Looks like I'm the only dinosaur hunter here, lol Anyone know of any good spots to look for more interesting stuff locally let me know. I was kinda surprised to find so many in a short time yesterday evening so close to home in the creek bottom. Here's a few more from my surface excavation. I can't find a fossil in this one, but I think I see a miniature deer track @ 2 o' clock from center! This one is loaded with goodies. Looks like some shell parts and a bunch of little sand dollar creatures throughout it.
-
A cool fossil find today. At first I thought it was a shell, but now I think its a baby T-rex claw! I found a few other prehistoric clams as well, but they were not nearly as exciting as this one! I'd like to start the bidding at $1,000,000, but I'd gladly take $10 for it,lol

Wow- this is definitely a must have industry breakthrough! Even if it doesn't work as advertised for hunting, I'll bet it jams the government frequencies from reading our minds and will be pulled from the shelves faster than we can stockpile these amazing garments.
-
Actually, you probably would have been happy to find some loose change with the Whites, but instead you found a whole BUCK! Not bad!
-
It's too bad you couldn't have all those successful spring hunts put together in a video compilation. I have a great idea for a title..... you could call it, "The Tom and Larry Show",lol I'm sure it would be a smash hit!
-
I haven't read the entire thing yet, but the pictures look REALLY good, lol! It's actually pretty good informative read so far unless you got something against "celebrity hunters" and good looking blondes that kill bigger bucks than you do.... then your mind is probably made up already that it will suck. Oh hell, now I see the topic is FAVORITE hunting book.... too late, not even close, just what I'm reading now! Got it at the flea market for $5!

Turkey hunting in Canada....? Now I've heard it all.. Be carefull with those "Canadian gobblers" buddy. I'm not allowed over the boarder to bail you out,lol
-
Congrats on gobbler #2 Pyggles! Now if we could just teach you to post pictures the way you kill turkey we'd be all set! Sounds like a pretty exciting hunt and a unique experience after the kill!
-
For everybody's best interest as you say...., open the image and observe the barrel is clearly pointed over his dads shoulder and NOT at his neck. I don't mind folks promoting practical gun safety, but lets not exaggerate, or try to make something out of nothing, when the proof is right before our very eyes. Congrats to your Pops Joe!

The survivors of 2015 winter will fatten up fast now. If you see them now, you know they made it. Scruffy coats are normal now.
-
He's the same one as the one in the 2'nd and 3'rd pic..... but yeah, I think he's one of the monarchs around here and hope to follow up with more shots of him as summer rolls on!
-
Out trying to roost turkeys tonight when I was surprised by a bachelor group of 5 bucks browsing in the overgrown field... Couldn't get them al in the same frame so I picked out the two that were closest and worked best for my liking with these shots. 9H..
-
Good going Mike! Glad you poked his azz! I was wondering who was gonna be the first to tag an x-bow gobbler, but I sure as hell knew it wouldn't be me until I get the gun gobbler under my belt this year. Congrats to ya, and good luck with bird #2 with your weapon of choice of course!
-
Oh yeah, you are close to one by the looks of those clips! It's probably right under your nose. Better hurry up and find it now..... they wont be around much longer and you will really enjoy the footage you get at the den entrance. I'll bet if you sneak in that thicket quiet enough on a sunny day and sit tight you'll find them pups soaking up the sun and having some fun.
-
Sweet! Got some place to tie him up for 3 or 4 years...? If not, I'll let you keep him at my place!
-
Happy B-day fellas! I've been tail gaiting all day waiting for the "Big Party" to start so I'm done celebrating for the day! Send me an invite for next year, lol

Almost forgot to add some follow up pics to this post. Dipped by a guy out of Boston, NY that can be found @ KJM Custom Works on the web and Facebook. It turned out pretty sweet for her and she's really happy with the finished product. Sis had some additional airbrushing done on the stock by an acquaintance of the dipper at an additional cost. It took a little longer than expected/promised, but overall, a real nice job was done! Tomorrow we'll try again to get some turkey blood on that baby for her!

Is that cam near a fox den or did you just get real lucky with those two clips? I'll bet there is one near by, even if you don't know about it yet. You can have some good fun with your cam there right now if you can find it!
