  1. Is anybody else having any luck with these, They are every where around the Fingerlakes, Why i cant get the pic to rotate straight is beyond me, This is the only site that it happens on
  2. Lmao there is nothing about this thread thats true, Moon light, clorox, 4.5+ years, On the decline, Lmao that thing was still at the bottom of his first hill, wiping the milk off his lip, You guys kill me, Popcorn any one?
  3. I just recently started Geocaching, Its a good time, Im not a fan of the guardrail caches but mystery and multi caches are where its at for me, Nothing like a complicated puzzle too figure out while your out walking and seeing a lot of new public ground that i never knew was there, If you guys havent tried it, You should kinda like deer hunting just a little different lol
  4. Also thought i wrote they will defend theyre territory, that meant against other bucks not the local cattle or farmer,
  5. Never said they all do that, I think the majority do, But there is always exceptions to the rule, Most people get a big buck on cam in august, Then hunt that deer; Unless you own hundreds if not thousands of acres What you are saying is the chances of killing him are slim, Im just saying its not the case, You might even want to add some 31/2 year olds into the wondering category, But i still believe the big boys are home bodies in my area,
  6. In think the core area of a mature buck doesnt change very much, Its the same 1 Sq mile it was born in, the first couple of years i believe they travel but then always come home to an area that has good doe bedding, He stays close all year and when the rut comes he doesnt have to travel at all, I think he will defend his core area, But as far as traveling they just dont do it, I have a friend who has killed 4 bucks all over 160" and many more that arent far from that, Every one of them he has had on camera for atleast 2 years, In the same woodlot he kills them in, never are they far from where he got his first sighting, His buck last year was shot right down his back 3 years earlier a 1/4 mile away from where he ended up killing it,, The reason we know its the same buck is because the slug hole through his ear and the scar down his back was put there buy him, When he shot at him in a deer drive when he was a 115" 10 point, after 10 years of data im convinced a 11/2 and 2/12 are roamers any thing older just stays put and doesnt move unless you kick him in the ass, jmho
  7. Huntstand for Iphone, Mark trails, tree stands bedding areas and get photos of your hunting locations with current wind direction and speeds plus the next 72 hrs , Its pretty accurate,
  8. I use a deer cart, When you lay the one end down make sure the head of the deer is pointing up in the air, Climb into truck grab and pull them in,
  9. Every day that i hunted this week i seen at least 1 deer, I might not have shot them but i did see a small spike and my buddy seen the 8 point i have been looking for, I hunted for 9 days straight and took a doe on Thanksgiving morning for the landowner, When i went to the local butcher around 11am there wasnt a single deer in the holding area and nobody else dropping anything off. Between my friends and i since the beginning of archery season we have a total deer take of 5 bucks and 7 doe taken, Those numbers are low for our group, The thing im noticing is people are not up and moving the deer like they used too when it was slug gun country, When you can reach out and hit them at 300yds why do drives, The deer are still nocturnal after just a few shots and if they are moving its just after legal shooting light, Some people dont observe the legal shooting light and im hearing shots well after. Those are the people that are harvesting deer in my area. But for the most part the deer are bedded daown during daylight hours, This weekend there will be people driving deer maybe something will come through the woodlot that i hunt,
  10. Im lucky, The company i work for sells batteries and i get them at cost, I buy a case of 96 at a time and it doesnt even come close to half that.
  11. The doe on the left is the one i got this am, My buddy and i decided too just stand around in the woods this am, We figured that people would start pushing the deer and sure enough, after 20 mins of just standing there shooting the bull, Four doe ran into the wood lot, I took aim with my 30-30 and dropped her in her tracks, The deer on the right is my buddies deer, He asked if he could bring his daughter with him to hunt last night, so i threw a ground blind up in the middle of a large hay field and this bb comes out with a smaller one, At the time he didnt realize it was a bb, but it doesnt really matter, His daughter was happy and seeing as he is injured and cant walk right now, And i didnt have to drag the deer very far, I didnt mind him shooting it, His daughter cant wait till she is old enough to hunt, That is what its about for me, Passing down the tradition, Sorry for the pick up pics but in hurry to get to the butcher and then home to get ready for dinner,
  12. If your only leasing it for the rest of deer and turkey, Its really pricey i did the math, 14.29 a day for the remainder of deer and all of turkey season, Around the area i live 14.00 an acre for the year is pricey, Some people want more but most are hovering right at about 10.00 an acre for one year, Now i know this isnt the case in other locations throughout the state, Some places are much cheaper, Others are far more expensive, Now if you dont hunt every day and im not sure about the end date, Of deer season, but ill call it the 12/13/15 im not sure if muzzleloader is in that date, You will hunt 17 days in the time period of your lease, at a cost of 41.18 per day, To me that is really steep and ,might not be worth it, Now if you can lease it for a year, The price drastically falls to around a 1.91 a day for that particular lease, Thats a good deal, but only at a year long contract, Almost forgot, If you only hunt weekends for turkey and deer during a one year lease the price per day to hunt is right around 23.33 a day, Hope that helps you a little, If you lease get it on paper and find out what that includes and doesnt include,
  13. There really is no need to read posts by this person, They are confusing and at about 5 a day they take up a lot of time and are mostly non-sense to begin with, From all the posts you have written im glad your not an adjoining landowner where i hunt, You seem to be the problem, Not the answer, You are the reason why hunters are hunters worst enemy, Honestly i know i will catch hell for writing this but honestly i dont care, You post about every part of your life and maybe should just take up facebook so you can make their internet cruising as painful as you have for the people on this site, Now i know i could just not read your posts and for the most part i dont, This is one that i clicked on by accident and its as painful as stepping on a rusty nail, Now you can begin ripping me apart, Because i know you have nothing better to do besides sit around and figure out ways to stir the pot, Have a nice day,
  14. You have no idea what a bad neighbor is,, Ill trade with you in second, You can have the rap blasting garbage filled yard and dogs barking all night, A posted sign and some orange tape is a walk in the park,
  15. Folgers columbian dark roast,
  16. well technically they den up to have pups but after that they are nomadic,

  18. Here is another buck from last year 3 days into the season, Whats he score, ?
  19. Here is a better pic, And if you notice he isnt doing the outstretched arm pose, This is one of the true giants that can grow in the Finger Lakes, Do you see 163 yet,
  20. green scored 163 and change leader in the buck club, scored by 2 different people,
  21. ok i can say he has had pic of him for the last 2 years, he hunted for 16 days straight not sure if they were all day sits or not, It was also green scored at 163in as far as location and age i cant help you, but he did shoot him with a bow, Ill ask him if he wants more put out there but i do know its from Central Ny
  22. My friend nailed this buck here in ny,
  23. Every single time im on stand, Very rarely does it not work, I can say that it works so often, i wont hunt without my calls,
  24. The problem is people believe that the government is going to be there for them, Truth is the government cant be there for them, When the time comes to protect themselves nothing is faster than an individual with proper training and a firearm, Not saying it would have stopped all the deaths but i can tell you the casualties list would be smaller, Ill take a firearm on my side over 911 every day of the week when it comes to protecting my family from a life or death situation, Split second decisions need to be made, 911 is 5 minutes out, Sorry that isnt good enough, The push too remove our rights is becoming an every day struggle, I for one do not want it to come down too something like this happening in this country for people to finally understand the 2nd Amendment was written for a reason,
