Cmon rain.

Sorry Crappy. Always tough to lose a beloved dog.

If you mow trails through it, the deer will use them to avoid that nasty mess. We have both the black and pale variety that took over much of one of the properties I hunt. Doesn't seem to really bother the deer though, but I stay on trails or will be tick infested.

This is true. The statute can be found here. https://codes.findlaw.com/ny/general-obligations-law/gob-sect-9-103.html That said, there are exceptions and it doesn't prevent someone from suing (even if there is no liability) which results in costs to defend the suit based on GOL 9-103. As I often explain to clients in other contexts, you can limit or minimize liability but you can't stop someone filing suit which must then be defended.

Swallow wort is brutal. Takes over everywhere and holds ticks.

Shooting decent now. Not perfect but that’s like a perfect golf swing - only shows up occasionally. Just try not screw up too bad.

Belated well wishes!

2019 Field to fork Program
moog5050 replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in Greater Rochester Southern Tier QDMA
Honestly kudos to you Bob. You take a lot of time out of your schedule to run this program on a volunteer basis. And you certainly are an excellent teacher. Way to give back! And it was awesome of Steve to provide the hearing and eye protection! The participants were so excited. Cool to see for sure! The homemade venison hotdogs were darn good too! -
Camera fall or do you normally mount it that low?

Even with a 2.5” lift and 35” tires, mine has a pretty good ride. Not as smooth as the raptor was but more than adequate. I think the longer wheel base of the 4 door makes a difference. I have enjoyed mine immensely this summer. Not another vehicle I can think of that I can remove the top and doors, drive through the fields, tow my ATV and still use as a daily driver with the family. -
Great job Andrew. That looks fun! What was the biggest?

Have a great day!

It’s a good idea to do some observation sits but I really don’t do that. No time or perhaps lazy. I often see deer when doing some work like today. No BB today though.

Oh and 4 deer in plot at 3pm when I pulled up. Good sign.

Plants seemed to double in size last 3 days. Dropped some 15-15-15.

None, hunt the wind and watch thermals

Assuming your arrows were a bit stiff with the lighted nocks, options are: 1. more weight up front; 2. longer arrow; 3. weaker spine arrow; and possibly change of center shot (assuming you were a bit left of string already).

My 6 year old 12' wicked saw stopped locking open (still useable but annoying) and I called wicked asking them to send me a new pin that holds it open as it appeared worn. The VP asked for my address and said a new saw is on the way. That is some darn good CS! Highly recommended.

Yote is probably cheaper too and makes a deer look like a big target. lol

So if I read it right, there is no way to know from visual appearance if a deer has it but they recommend against eating a deer that is infected. Well that is extremely helpful!

I shoot that hog all the time but usually try to ignore the spot they have for 3D and treat it like a deer shooting for the pocket. Seems more solid than rinehart deer I bought in the past.

First year hunting, I would have an adrenaline dump after the shot and sometimes before (never where it affected my shots but it was there). After that, it was limited to after the shot and even that seems to be pretty much going way which kind of stinks. Still happy to see deer and nice bucks but its not the same as it was only a few years ago. Perhaps a booner would reignite that adrenaline! Hope I find out one day. Its part of the fun of hunting.
