  1. I was driving to work today and there is a beautiful house with a manicured creek that runs through the front lawn. Absolutely loaded with ducks. Was going to post a pic but too late as traffic was moving. Tough place to fire a gun though. lol Corner of whalen and 5 mile line rd if any of you want to "sneak in". lol
  2. Brian Wessels of TT makes a great bow. Slightly cheaper than widow but very similar in feel. Very smooth. 9 month wait if you buy new. Keep an eye out for one on AT. They are worth it and hold their value well. IMO, you can't go wrong with widows, schafers, and tall tines. All my favorite bolt down traditional beauties. Blacktail makes a great bow too but I never got along with the grip. Now if you want to go with a more modern ILF recurve, I really like the Morrison and Uukha limbs. Get that shooting lane in. So nice to be able to shoot whenever you want.
  3. Dan said he is good for the ole 96er. Wants the free t shirt too!
  4. Text me. Its me, Andrew and David going as of now. The more the merrier.
  5. horrible videographer but very cool. I like how they pay him/her no mind.
  6. I will be there in spirit. Pygmy promised to eat 3 times as much to make up for my absence in body.
  7. That's awesome and well deserved press Bob. Good call on the black shirt for the photo too. Very slimming.
  8. lol - he is threatening to steal my 458 upper because I "borrowed" his stinking kill light for a week.
  9. I like going at night because its just flat out fun. Seeing the eyes reflect back and then losing them and then they reappear. I have only done one day hunt, but treeguy is schooling me for night hunts. Skip euchre tomorrow!
  10. You did great tarheel first year congrats. Sadly the one bow status will likely change but maybe you have superior self control.
  11. Pm me. I can offer some suggestions.
  12. Question is, do they have enough knock down power for Deer
  13. Both. But really the former as no one that is hooked can own just one.
  14. You will love it. Start light.
  15. Only one pair of crocs. They last forever. Literally.
  16. Camo crocs rule! by the way, I do own 8. How did you know. I need to check for cameras in the house.
  17. I might be one of the few that can draw it. Lol
  18. For functional works of art! Like Wooly, they keep multiplying. This one tuned quick.
  19. Check out decked storage. Great for skis or guns or bows or tools. Well I am not sure how long skis are so maybe great for skis. Ha.
  20. That’s what I was asking. I hated getting in my truck without running boards.
  21. No offense doc but there are very very few shooters that can shoot even reasonably well instinctively at any distance. Unless one plans to shoot his bow 24/7, gapping is far superior for good accuracy with reasonable amounts of practice. Even instinctive shooters gap just subconsciously. Learning to control your shot procedure with complete control and aim will kill way more deer and hold up under hunting pressure. There is a reason so many of the older recurves are drilled out for sights. Not many can shoot instinctively well. And frankly aiming is only a small part of shooting a single string bow well I can shoot pretty well instinctively but when it comes time to kill deer, I will happily consciously aim by gapping. It is fun to see guys like Ferguson shoot like they do. Just don’t expect it from 99.99% of archers.
  22. Sanctuary bibs run small. Sitka is more true to size. And they are waterproof. I do like the sanctuary jacket however. It’s weird how cold the outer material on the sanctuary feels when outside. But a good sign as no heat loss I guess.
  23. Those sits didn't require Sitka but they were brutal nonetheless.
