I use a fuse double caliper with my compound. Been using it since I started shooting 5 years ago. I like it.

More witty than usual. All that pie in the face yesterday must of done you some good! -
Very true.

I talked to 2 electricians that said backfeeding is fine. Just turn off the main. But I never got that far thankfully. I too was going to run furnace and some lights.
-
Just finished running to three stores to find plug ends to use the generator for the house and my son calls. Power on. Yay!

Just talked to RGE. Apparently most of the work to date has been cleaning to start the repair process. Big meeting this afternoon to set a plan for repair. She couldn't advise formally, but said unlikely that service will be back up today, maybe over the weekend.

Heck of a buck and agree its not a poundage issue. One heck of an entrance hole on No. 2. Sorry to hear it, but at least you did find him.
-
I have killed a bunch of deer with them and never had an issue. Every deer was a quick death with absurd holes. Could be a poundage issue as my compound is 82lbs. That said, if you have had problems, shoot what you have confidence in.

Maybe today .... but starting to dig living like the little house on the prairie. well, not really.
-
Can't complain much. It's still 72 in the house and freezer is a non issue especially with temps dropping. Plus, I can just stay with Larry. Lol 91 was epic.

Funny part is that people have power 1/4 -1/2 mile to north and south on main rd. Yet I see no lines down in between. We are apparently in no mans land.

Borrowed a generator. 2 extension cords into house. One for a heater and the other for wifi. What we have no wifi! Well the freezer is now safe

Good people and offers here! -
I won't open the freezers. Hoping it will last 48hrs but not sure. Could be out of venison soon. Lol

Looks tasty TF. I am planning on cooking everything in our fridge before it spoils in this blackout.

Phade to rub it in! Ok to share our collective joy. Lol -
Quite a bit of damage around here. Driving to the office there were a lot of trees down and roads closed. Hopefully no injuries and things will get back to normal soon for everyone.
-
Still no stinking electricity. It's getting a bit cold now.
-
How does wegmans not have a generator back up system. Even my office does. That's a lot of potential loss.
-
Sorry to hear about the fever. Stay safe!
-
No power in Webster. How will I shoot tonight! Lots of trees down and no stop lights so tough driving.
-
Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Ha - only been hunting with a recurve for two seasons, but I did jump in with both feet, as I often do with things that interest me. Right or wrong, I can be a bit too obsessive. You both have my number. Call if I can be of any help. Grampy, call me but I would stay with a bow of at least 60" or longer, especially if you plan to try a fixed crawl (longer the better). I don't use the crawl because I didn't like how it detuned the bow and because I would constantly hit my nose with the string. Some folks tape their nose for that very reason. But it works. I would bet it saved a lot of hunters from giving up on bare bow hunting.
