I have the Tipton gun vise. Works great! Good call grampy!
-
Love the cam name

For those looking for a higher protein, lower carb kibble (and there aren't many), I switched our dog to Pinnacle Grain Free Peak Protein. She seems to be doing well on it. Kind of expensive, but around $65 for 30lbs shipped through CHEWY online.

Post dinner habit munching is my downfall for sure. I am staring the Grampy " just stop eating so much" diet. Seems like a better plan than most of my crazy unsustainable diets.
-
Sorry to hear it Law. Hang in there buddy. Be comforted by the wonderful memories.
-
Wow Grampy, Congrats! I need to be more like you. That's serious weight loss.

The few we have seemed to like to pick bugs from the small clover plot we had, but I am no expert. Helped with deer too and easy to maintain.
-
Making the pass throughs/BH performance even more impressive is that you shoot fairly light arrows.
-
If you are talking compound, the slick trick standards are nice. Very sharp but he blades are not the most durable.

You guys are tough on Beach. I am sure he wished he went back next day or perhaps could have gone next day. Regardless, the other hunter was dead wrong! Just my wholly indisputable and unassailable opinion.
-
Well I am sure that word will get around as to what happened and he will receive his just reward. Imagine explaining that story when someone compliments that big rack on your wall. "I saw someone shoot him and then went and grabbed him later after I hid the blood trail from the successful hunter." Even a non-hunter would look cross eyed at him. Good for you on moving on. I suspect there is a booner in the future for you on that parcel.
-
I don't care if he was riding it when you shot it. He didn't kill the deer and he knows who did. I am agitated for you. Plus, he wasn't complaining when he "helped" you look for that deer. What are the chances he actually saw blood and never disclosed it that first night.
-
Clearly he was just visiting or slumming as it was.
-
Even worse is that apparently he didn't even view it as wrong since he told you he found it the next weekend and kept it months later. Speaks volumes about his character.
-
Of course he should have returned the deer. Pretty sad that he would want to keep it. Why would I want to keep a deer another hunter killed. I would have called immediately to let you know I found your buck. Come get it! And congratulations. Not gray at all in my opinion.

Ha. Must have lived in a better neighborhood.

Looks great as usual buddy!

My son has that bobber one. I don't think he will admit it was a waste since I warned him not to buy it, but lets just say he hasn't been overwhelmed with it.

Yep, I have done the neck in a crock pot after browning it (coated with flower, slat and pepper)for at least 8 hours. Beef broth, time, rosemary, garlic and onions with carrots added at the 5-6hr mark. You will know when its ready as it begins to fall apart with just your fork. I have also used it to make osso bucco on the stove top, but again, it requires long cooking time at low temps (again until falling apart). I trim it good, but the silver skin between the muscles will dissolve and does not leave a gamey flavor at all. My family all like it and most won't eat a grilled backstrap.

Ground blind repair
moog5050 replied to josephmrtn's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
That is nice work. I purchased the replacement rods/hub from primos for $20, but I bet that is a cheaper repair. -
Happy BDay sir!

I think it was like 9:30 Eddie. lol

Exactly. I hate to say it, but I went to bed early on election night and last night when Atlanta went up 28-3. Very shocked when I woke the next morning, both times.
-
Yearbook was pretty good too. Agreed

Go ilf and you can get light practice limbs and then medium weight hunting limbs. Would be fun!
