  1. I tend to agree and being in my mid-40s it annoys me. That said, I still get my statements saying this is what you will get when you retire. I suspect that it will be tough for the government to refuse to return what I paid in - legally and from a public outcry perspective. Instead, I suspect "benefits" will not be available until I am 75 years old. Keep pushing the age of retirement - its the easy short term fix. I better lose some weight if I want any chance at receiving dime one of my money - perhaps I should say a younger person's money as my money is gone shortly after I pay it.
  2. my daughter is learning on a child's long bow and uses fingers. compound should be a breeze when she is ready.
  3. I think he is 10 or 11 years younger than me (I'm 45) but in spirit, he is much older. Ooops. Tricked again.
  4. After all that effort to maintain his identity confidential and grampy has to blurt it out.
  5. I won't disclose his/her name since they have chosen not to post their birthday. Impossible as it sounds, you are catching up.
  6. Good thing you are doing Phade. Kinley and Natalie will be out-hunting both of us in no time.
  7. Between 50 and 400lbs, without a doubt.
  8. Her friends thought it would be funny to shave that on her while she slept off a drunken stupor.
  9. Thought it was the world's largest spike at first also.
  10. Thanks everyone. It was a fun B-day. I am admittedly old. And good for you Law - sissy trucks need to be washed regularly. Be sure to vacuum to carpeted bed.
  11. There is a requirement that pools be fenced in and locked (above ground pools can use the wall as part of the fence). I suspect that is easier to enforce than a proposed rule requiring firearms to be locked up when not in use. The proposed rule would likely only be an issue after the fact - i.e. when there is an incident - child gets ahold of a firearm or one is stolen because its not locked up.
  12. Wooly great photo once again. I gotta ask, how do you find the time?
  13. Just a thought, but wouldn't it be better to quietly pop in the room at times. The surprise would keep everyone on their best behavior I would think.
  14. Shhhhh. Don't give away all of the secrets Bill.
  15. My father and I have fished Lake O for 30yrs. We never entered a derby either. That said, we may have caught the winning steelhead last year if we had entered, so maybe we should have. BTW- we still get skunked occasionally, so it isn't entering the derby that causes it.
  16. Used them for the past two seasons. They are tough and hit hard. Over-penetration is only a problem when they bury in the ground after a pass through. They do tend to have a stiffer dynamic spine than indicated, but that's not usually problem with a well tuned compound. I have yet to bend one. Speed and costs are the offset to the benefit of greater penetration, but well worth it in my opinion.
  17. Rob check the elite archery forum. There are a few on there in your range. Couple are solid deals. 2012 pulse or answer for 350 and a 2011 tour for 300
  18. Keep watching AT. I picked up a used GT500 for $200 there. Great deal. You will find some older elites in the $300 range and they are great bows.
  19. 2016 Iowa will have Phade in skinny camo pants. Bet on it.
