New Deer Hunting Show on History Channel
Guns&ReligionCop replied to nyantler's topic in Deer Hunting
It's most likely going to be like all other reality TV, scripted, mostly fake, re-enactments, etc... That being said I'll probably watch it unless its annoying. Most hunting I watch now is uploaded on youtube by averages joes. -
Good luck buying property in PA with the fracking going on. Speculators scooping up everything at top dollar!!!

Take the Van Wyck to the Whitestone up the hutch and within an hour you will find some good hunting! I did that one day a few years ago and never made it back down to the $hitty I mean city!

Thats the problem with NY, IMO if you have firearms in the house education starts and continues early You should not bury your head in the sand and pretend firearms don't exist until the children are 12.

Born with a gun and my hand. First Red Ryder BB GUN when I was 3 walking up and down the road with my gramps shooting beer cans, Moved up to a 22 by the time I was 4, supervised of course. Shooting skeet by the time I was 8. My son was almost 2 when I woke up to shooting and my father was showing him how to aim the 10-22 and pull the trigger. His 3rd birthday I bought him a airsoft to practice with and I got him a little crossbow when he turned 4. Education never begins to early!

I spend most of my squirrel season scouting and getting a better feel for the land and my map time comes when I'm bored at work

Sounds like a nice club, I'm assuming with those prices you aren't located near NYC though

I hunt public land over here in Eastern NY and I figured the best way is to just go and walk around.

I'll pass on eatting but I'll happy donate to anyone who wants the ones I shoot.

Open Minded Vegan???
Guns&ReligionCop replied to Guns&ReligionCop's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Well she wasn't pasty because she was hindu or something like that but my 4 year old could probably whoop her frail body around because she couldn't have weighed more than 90 pounds ELMO, great suggestion -
Nope but I'll check it out

So I was talking to a vegan the other day that I ran across a few times in my life who is always crusading for her way of life. I do admire her passion but I disagree with her lifestyle. She's currently peddling a book that she wrote about the food industry and her life style, animals rights etc... She asked me if I wanted to buy a copy and I politely said I wasn't interested until she told me that "I need to open my mind and experience different things and learn the truth!" So I acknowledge that she was correct that I was a close minded in this aspect and had little knowledge of the vegan lifestyle and proposed this deal. I offered to purchase the book and read in its entirety if and only if she agreed to come with me hunting as a spectator alone. Let's just say I will not being purchasing the book or reading it. Its funny the so called "open minded vegan" that wanted me to learn her lifestyle was to close minded to try mine. PS My deer meat pot roast I just ate was delicious and a 100% organic

I hope some one holds something of the same here evenutally because I would love to participate but unlike these protesters that dont have a life I'm not driving 8 hours to do a little squirrel hunting
