  1. I don't think its unethical, but it really shrinks you margin of error. Ill hunt pretty much any weather since I don't have the luxury of living close to the places I hunt. Maybe if its really coming down ill scrub that day and go a half day on sunday.
  2. Backtrap, muscles and pasta...I'm getting spoiled tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I feel your pain. I can't even imagine being able to hunt so close to my house as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Can't get one from the couch! Maybe don't sit in your best stand though. If I was you I'd hunt the magic hour just in case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes they will, but not as often as doe for some reason. Next time you hear a doe blow, blow right back. She'll come in and give may give you a shot.
  6. Congrats on the buck John! Looks like a nice one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. They take at least 10-15 years. I'd rather plant soft mass tree's or wait for genetically modified American chestnuts to come out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. As long as they take the bowhunting safety Course and get medical clearance that confirms they can not use traditional archery equip, I think it's fair to let them use a crossbow. I'm only against crossbows because people wouldn't practice with it and would have unrealistic expectations of them and will take marginal shots because of that. Obviously not all, but more people than with the more traditional bow hunters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Found a bunch of rubs. Behind my stand and one scrape 40 yards from my stand. Saw a buck following a doe Saturday as well. He was staying pretty close to her and moving only when she moved Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have used a Nikon bucknasters with BDC for about 8 or 9 years. I like it, but I've never taken had to use t to be honest. I do like it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Congrats! Good thing he wont be coming during the season lol.
  12. Thanks bud! Took a couple pics of the blood trail that I should probably post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Well yesterday I got my first deer with a broadhead other than rage. Killzone bh did some real damage! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Not much of a story for mine really. Got in my stand yesterday at around 6:40 and then I turned around at 7:30 and saw a doe right behind me. By the time I got up and turned around, it was very very slightly quartering away and I let her have it. Didn't go but 50 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Well just had deer heart for the first time and it was amazing. I'm just as happy eating deer heart as I am eating tenderloin or backstrap! I highly suggest you guys keep the heart next time. All I did was add a little teriyaki, Worcestershire sauce, and a few various spices like garlic powder. You can believe ill never leave another heart in the field again.
  16. Congrats stone! How did the knock off rage's preform?
  17. Pretty worn down. by the time i got to looking at the teeth, rigor mortis set it so it was tough to look at them.
  18. This was the fattest deer i have ever dressed. It had inches of fat stored in the brisket and along the back. I'm hoping she'll be a tender deer.
  19. Thanks. She was completely dry as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Here's a pic of the doe. I think it was a decent shot...what do you guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Congrats WNY! That's a great buck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Found her guys. No more than 60 yards from the shot. Blood trail was easy to follow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It was a lone doe just like I wanted. My father was right next to me and said it was a good shot. Im going to get down in a few to take a look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
