  1. I would rake it out now so the deer get used to it and continue to rake it as the leaves fall. Rake a small path so its really not as obvious.
  2. Im looking into getting a rangefinder and possibly a new shotgun.
  3. Some great looking deer! Hopefully you'll get a shot at one come fall.
  4. I have a trail cam pic of fawn that couldn't have been more then a month or so old back in September 2013. I never laid eyes on them so I have no clue what happened to it.
  5. This right here. Way too many problems come with this IMO.
  6. Sounds to me that this is an illegal confiscation. I thought that confiscation required a felony not a misdemeanor.
  7. I am also curious to see how they attract deer. Its not too late to plant so don't worry.
  8. It wont kill the tree but it will kill a chunk of of the peaches unfortunately. You will see that the leaves with the red spots will drop and new healthy ones will begin growing again and those are the leaves that will store the blight over the winter. Look around and there should be a number of sprays for it but like i said, i use an organic spray and it works fine when applied at the right time. I missed it this year and i sprayed it in may and it still got rid of it with minimal damage. If I can find where I put it, ill tell you the name.
  9. I thought about the same thing just a few days ago. It will make cutting through the neck bone of a big buck that much easier.
  10. That's called fire blight. There is a spray but unfortunately it might be too late for the season but its always worth a try. Try to spray in February or early march. There is an organic spray for it which I suggest you use if deer will be eating it.
  11. Mule deer is probably the biggest i would take with it.
  12. Not sure if it helps but I just signed. I figure another signature cant hurt.
  13. I would talk to the landowner if I was you. It seems like the landowner had something to play in this.
  14. Nothing wrong with a 300. I would go for the neck on close shots like VJP said but its not necessary. I don't think the damage will be all that bad if you shoot the ribs.
  15. There is Queens Archery on my side of Queens but there is one opening up close to Long Island city.
  16. I will be going if they make a September season. Even though my area has not had a bear harvest in the last couple years, its still going to get the September season. I may have to go into the Catskills to get one.
  17. I have to say that could not disagree more with your statement saying that a lot of big game is going to be lost with the use of non-toxic bullets. I use 100% copper bullets and out of the 6 deer i shot with it, only 2 were able to run and even then they only ran about 10 yards. With the nearly 100% weight retention and perfect mushrooms, copper bullets have some clear and distinct advantages over lead. While I don't want lead bullets banned, I don't think that we will see a dramatic increase of lost deer. Shoot an animal in the vitals and its going to die quick.
