  3. was going to ask that lol how many boars were you able to take per person and did you have to buy a license? always wanted to do a boar hunt. i was looking into yellow bluff a long time ago...

  6. anything is possible, you might catch a buck responding to that
  7. dont have time to read everyones post... thought you were responding to mine. no harm no foul
  8. and PS: who knows if there is any neighboring properties, i was just tossing out a scenario...
  9. maybe you should read what i originally posted again... Alls i said is i for one would be pissed if i was bordering his property and they started slamming anything that walked past them on that farm. From what im getting from you you wouldnt have anything to say if that was your neighbor but if it was mine i know what i would be thinking, it doesn't necessarily mean i would confront him about his decision because like i stated in my last post It is the land owners decision ultimatly so i would not say antyhing to him. but i would be bummed knowing right next store to me they are slamming anything that moves. Now, weather you agree or disagree with what i am saying i dont care. i am stating how i would feel if i was a bordering property. But in a case like this even if i was his neighbor, my feelings on it would be totally irrelevant becasue that farmer can do whatever he wants... to say there are NO deer left on that property i find it hard to believe, JMO...
  10. just watched it... so its on every weds?
  11. i mean i can see those who border that proprty being alittle pissed. i mean face it, if it was you and your proprty bordered it and you passed up some smaller deer and tried to give yourself a chance at a decent buck one day and then you here your neighboring proprty let every tom dick and harry in there to hunt and took out ALOT of deer, im sure you would have something to say about that. Obvisouly you can not control that situtation but im sure majority of us would have something to say and it might not be positive. I mean im sure this happens often its just a question of how close to home it hit and picture an event unravel right near the proprty you hunt. that can make for a crappy season for you, especially if that guy put alot of time in only to have deer being thinned out left and right, right near your proprty. that would be my only problem. But what can you do, its the land owners decision...
  12. this is an extremely nice thing to do. I couldnt emagine the emotions going on in this family and especially around the holidays.
  13. your really making me want to start another batch soon! lol
  14. i have only tried adding an abv booster to my brew and obviously adding a fermentable such as a fruit and such will also boost it slightly. im prettty sure they sell ingredients to boost your abv. i control my abv from the start of the fermenting process. but like i said if you add some sort of fruit puree during the rack process that will also add a higher abv as the yeast will feed off of the sugers. good rule of thumb, yeast will fart CO2 and piss out alcohol. lol just watchout tho, you can get sonsumed with trying to reach a high abv and in turn you can be stuck with a crap beer... they do have blend you can buy tho that have a higher abv, ive seen 8 - 11% before... my last brew was around 6.8%, nice and smooth...
  15. those are some nice deer split!! congrats
  16. ive read this to somewhere and also heard of some pros mentioning this topic on tv as well... I dont know how successful it would be to hunt near that fresh rub, as you dont really know if you can expect the outcome you are hoping for. However you can count on that buck has made it through the season so far and may have returned to his area he happens to reside or it can be a irregular rub inwhich case a buck passing through made have made a rub which is common late season and has moved on. eitherway you know a buck has made its presence known...
  17. bushnell trophy cam 4 or 8 AA batteries, will last almost a year on 8. super fast trigger speed and depending on the setting really fast recovery time.
