DOC: This is true, but i usually always have away of getting that deer out, weather i have someone who can come for assistance or if i manage to get that deer out my self. but yes that is a positive to having another person with you. i also like having someone cover another part of the woods and communicate with them via text or something to keep each other posted on deer movement and so on. its nice to know theres deer on there feet a few hundred yards away and can possibly work there way over to me. what i like most about hunting by myself is one guy in and one guy out, (ME). i can be a little more stealthy entering and exiting the woods. and may have a better chance of seeing some deer and maybe a little less human scent in there.... but either way i dont mind hunting by myself, i enjoy it but i do like having another guy with me. you never know... always good to have a helping hand or life line...

i had my share of hunts i shared with myself alone... i dont mind it but it is nice to share the experience and woods with a friend or family member.

lol thats funny. yeah that call works good when you have a buck just a bit out of distance for the can or on a windy day. that vocal reaches out a bit more. you can also control the volume of it for that buck thats in closer. good stuff tho!

i got out sunday morning for a hunt. nice and cold leaves were VERY loud. i got near my stand in the dark and prob blew about 10 deer out of there! it was like a stampede all around me lol. at first light at had 2 spike horns come in together at 30 yards. that was it. im looking to get in there again soon!

goodluck john! im looking to sneak out this weekend too. we are supposed to get some snow on sunday so maybe with this pressure system moving through we might see some good deer on there feet! hope you get something to post!

yeah, you dont know howmany dmps were filled and NOT reported... Or the number of bucks killed by hunters/poachers. this is true too... we have threads on that topic and im sure there are some factors the DEC throws in to fill those voids and compensate for the non reports.

never taped one of my hunts but i would love to do it eventually..

eh im sure we will have plenty to talk about until next deer season... so much lies ahead, shed hunts, food plots, scouting. its all coming!
