I’ve been going to Tony since he worked out of his garage at his house off Bay rd. Idk 25 years ? Slim sticks always ! Hot, mild, and jalapeño and cheddar , this year I changed it up, honey BBQ and banana peppers and mozzarella. Everyone loves the BBQ and honey , but if you’re a spice lover you won’t get your fix here . His hot dogs are very good . I didn’t care for the bologna. His Salamis were always good but I haven’t got any in maybe 15 years . Got Romano and garlic sausage this year very good, actually may have liked it better cold the next day, should be very good in sauce . The pepperoni is very very good, big favorite of our youngest daughter. If I could only get one thing it would be slim sticks, pepperoni , hot dogs next in-line . I buy the more snack on products as opposed to meal making stuff, and I’m probably stuck in a rut with what I buy . They have most available as samples as you wait in line . Also I got my stuff back in one week this year in bow, gun you’ll have to wait weeks . Keep that in mind for future years . im five minutes from him ,TF and Rockspec stopped here and we went to lunch first , I’m always open to that .

Jerry wins , that’s an awesome few days ! I know longer hunt the AM , to hard to get to my sisters in time if I do , that was a tradition I sure enjoyed though . As a child ( ‘60s and 70’s ) we gathered at my parents , after the meal the men would sit around the table and play euchre, once in awhile I could sit in . If ( When ) I played a “ wrong “ card my dad would yell at me and my grandfather would say was a good move . In the corner of the room was every hunting item my Dad owned , a shot gun, sleeping bag and a brown paper bag of clothes, oh and uninsulated green rubber boots . He would leave for deer camp after cards .

Enjoy ! My most memorable hunts were drives, my most memorable kills were taken on drives ,I, mean a steady rifle shot at a stationary deer is frankly boring . My pulse hasn’t gone up on a shot, in many years .

Welcome ! Don’t get overwhelmed by guys with land, cabins , a dozen stands and cameras and on and on . Want to kill a deer you need little more then a gun and orange vest ,ok a knife and flashlight too .

Crossbow will start on Nov 7th , typically I have my bow buck bit earlier in Nov. 31 years of compounds ,but I really enjoyed my crossbow buck this year .

Nice guy , let you hunt his land , I’m not reporting him, but I may mention it to him next year . Plus maybe he doesn’t have room or time for a food plot .

Well I know an in, Horn Hunter and I frequent the same craft brewery ,he’s one of us beer guys, Fletch .

There were two in my neighbors yard as I washed the youngest ones car a bit ago . She stopped at our house while in route to hers from an audit in another town , so today my non hunting daughter saw more deer then the one who hunted today . Its goes like that sometimes .

I move a stand from time to time , that’s about it . Actually I’m thinking the 7 I got, may be three or four to many , there’s two that are really good year after year and a couple more that are ok . Bow and gun bucks were killed out of the same stand this year , I could probably get by with that one alone .

Carrying a trail camera by the strap , I trip in this lumpy field as ,my hands instinctively go forward as I fell down ,camera swings into my nose lol . In my pack I’ve got tourniquets Combat Gauze, regular gauze ,4x4 s But no small bandaids it seems . Mrs Nomad suggested using the tourniquet around my neck .....

‘81 Arizona desert, we would drive dirt roads at night miles into the desert and find them laying on the hard packed road,because it was warmer . We had pvc pipes with bent coat hangers duct taped to the end in a V . Pin their head down,and either shoot them with .22 bird loads, or just cut the head off with our knives . Great fun , and you learned to jump backwards fast when things went south !

Both bucks from a ladderstand , the same one actually. Passed this guy on the ground ,while walking in one afternoon , 50 yards, starring at me head on, I had the crosshairs on his heart . But widow who now owns the field ,lets me use it to access my woods but doesn’t want me to shoot deer on it . ugh....
