Live from upstairs bathroom ! Wife spotted doe behind neighbors fence , and guys say you can’t shoot them from the couch .

All this talk about food, I think I’ll get out of bed now , and make breakfast!

I get fully dressed, including boots and harness at home, well all but coat ,hat and gloves , which are in my daypack .Daypack and bow / gun placed in kitchen the night prior .

Lunch today at an Italian restaurant, this is their house Italian blonde ale , with some sort of tree part in it .... it was ok . Im drinking an Other Half ipa right now , no trees .

I didn’t kill a buck the prior two seasons, and I had a lot of tree time .

Back when I started 30 some years ago with my Golden Eagle, shooting fingers with a single brass pin and flipper rest , this paper plate group was good enough for me . I killed deer my first year and most after , I only take broadside shots at stationary deer, twenty yards or under . I don’t know if I could hit a tennis ball hanging off a deer ,but I’m confident I’m going to double lung, and or punch it’s heart .

To me a “ good shot “ has little to, do with shooting targets . It’s the guy who consistently gets quick kills in the, field .

My processor who I absolutely love, doesn’t have a scale, because , “ then everyone would want me to weigh them .” I had one but gave it away years ago , so I’m free to make up a weight like many do . Lol

Body wise , last Saturday .

Half the time , ( if I shower prior to a hunt ) I grab Irish Spring out of habit instead of the scent free stuff, I just toss my hunting clothes in the regular household wash often as well , no scent loc, or sprays . So one can guess my opinion.

If so I’ll buy one . 17 yard shot a bit more forward then ideal, yet a pass trough ,including the heart . Short “ tract “ hard drag .

Well I said the first decent buck gets it . 10 pt almost dropped in sight little under 20 yard shot , stopped him broadside with a “burp “ .

I agree 10% plus may not be obtainable for, long term these days . However my Windsor 2 , which I don’t consider aggressive ( yet I’ve held it since ‘81 when I was more aggressive.....) has a 7.4 five year average return and a, ytd of 18%. my other vanguard fund is 60% Stocks 40% bonds and has an average return of 6.7 with almost half of it being in bonds . We’re as much about protecting assets as long term growth right now , not trying to hit home runs any more, just keeping the line moving . So those numbers are right around our target at this stage of our life . If you want I can get you 50% return a year , I’ll need a minimum of $250k cash to set it up , tell your buddies , but they’ll have to hurry .

I use discharge bolts, but hate buying them and often run low on them , I think I’ll bring my block this year .

Many guys move stands based on what they see ,myself included .

Daughter from Buffalo coming home, I’m supposed to take her car in for routine maintenance Sat. Morning while she’s at the dentist , wanted to skip euchre Sat night as that kills sat afternoon hunt and Sun. Morning . Now wife wants us to go play ! Hoping to get wife to bring car in, so I can at least get out in the morning , but she says I’ll be to tired at euchre . I’m holding all nines and tens right now .....
