    Talked to two guys who live next to my spot last night. They each said it was going to be very windy today , and the one bow hunter of the two was not going out . Windy here when I got up, so I went back to bed , I have all week I can go. Thst may have been an error. Oh well I’ll hit it early afternoon . ( the woods )

    May wasn’t that great , but I think we had a nice hot sunny summer . my reasons for leaving ( if we do ) taxes, fees , political climate, followed by weather . We could simply go south for a few months for the weather ,but that doesn’t free us from the high cost of living and political climate . The kids are the only thing keeping us here, and that may change .

    Many individuals do now, at their own small risk I guess . I don’t know one person who registered their modern sporting rifles or got rid on their standard capacity mags . Looks like when we go down South this winter , I’ll have to do some shopping .

    Grampy says Nov 10 th is the magic day, well i was going through pics and came upon this one . It’s dated the 11th , but that’s the picture day, was killed the day before..... just got out warmer clothes for tomorrow . Moog I can be to,your house in five minutes, pretty sure I can drop it in place with my 270 .

    Ya one time on the ground I shot my Dan Wesson 44 mag at a deer ,i shoot right handed but use left eye,so I kinda turned my head a bit, man did that ring for a while .

    Thanks , we are adding “ ports” to the sides . When we are able to get it where we want ,it’ll face East,So morning sun . This year it may end up across the road facing south . Love the blinds idea particularly if by myself , hope to sit with daughter as well . Thanks it’s good to hear what’s worked for others .

    Db, I’ve searched some odd items on Craigslist, looking to use them as blinds . Plasitc hunting blind ,$1,000 plastic play house $75 ,B/O .

    Thanks everyone .Bob I thought the same thing , i was just the “ helper”:on this one , the main builder I believe thought that would somewhat conceal us and block the sun . He hunts with electric muffs all,the time ..... TF, I’ve thought of stopping at houses with old bus stop huts at the end of long driveways and seeing if I could buy or get for free when the kids were out of school . I see a bunch of obviously old ones around . Its to darn wet to move it where we want right now

    So my one blind is more of a base camp , the hunting is so so where it’s placed ,I’ve never fired out of it . I always just worn soft ear plugs the few times I sat there ,now that we built this and it’s going to be in a much bettter spot,Im wondering about muffs or both? What do you who shoot out of these do ? The end of the barrel will be out the window , but it’s still gotta be loud . I do pistol shoot on an indoor range with just muffs, but rifles and shotguns I think would be louder . Thanks

    We should all just have a chip implanted at birth, then as we age the Gov can just upload new info to it ( DL, SS # and so on ) . Then the DEC can just scan us all as they drive by .

    Chickens were the key players in a court case about air space rights actually. It was once thought you owned from heaven to hell , then airplanes came along .     No, offense but I would not take 50 yard shots . 30 years of killing them with compounds ,never shot more then 25, my crossbow I limit to 30 ish . Seldom need to “track” them . Just a thought . Maybe you’ve killed a stack of deer at 50 , I don’t know but that’s not a starting distance.

    I do the same as Steve . It’s on my day pack, so anytime I’m on the ground ,it’s in the middle of my back, while on stand ,it’s hanging for all to see . If it was on my coat you’d never see it on stand or walking . Dont over think it . Btw we’re one of two states that have back tags, go figure .

    Daily total,6 bucks I think 13 doe, 1 coyote,1 Fox . Havent has anything to eat since breakfast, hitting the hot tub with a gin and tonic while the Mrs finishes making dinner .

    Two doe just flew by , with a very nice buck in pursuit, 60 yards away .
