    Unsure if your crew is hunting with you all week, but if you get board we can get together sometime this week if you want ( hook up didn’t sound right .....) I too plan on hunting hard this week .

    I’ve given a bit of coin to “go fund me’s “ over the years ,for folks in need . But frankly , half of those turned out to be suspect , I now give zero . At least this guy is honest about his scam .

    I’ve often said the weather on opening day of gun has a bigger effect on hunting, then ARs, food plots ,crossbows and all the other stuff we argue about .

    It’ll make it easier to see them coming ,especially for my daughter , and I guess tracking if someone makes a less then stellar shot . Other then that , I’d take 50 and sunny , Tracking ? Well over 1/4 mile the deer would be off my spot .

    I can’t recall the last year I killed a buck opening day, well I know the buck and I know Ontario County was still shotgun, that’s about it. Yet I’m still,pumped for OD ! Ready for rifle , ill say this my spot has been good after OD, Sunday in particular,, more then once big bucks were in fields in daylight on Sunday , like it wasn’t even gun season . Not a lot of pressure in three directions of my spot ,some yes but mostly guys just sitting in stands . OD allows my daughter to come ,doubling the stands covered ,and rifle allows me to shoot the bucks in the field I can only hope come close in bow .

    I’ll be out in the afternoon tomorrow for my last sit as well, being retired I could have hunted all week, ( all season ? ) but don’t have the drive anymore . Done with the cold , wet, mud and small bucks and does . The wind will be great for the stand I’m using ,which has high movement most afternoons . Good luck

    Hibiki harmony , the guys at work crushed it at our Christmas party . Store is having issues getting it even though they have been stocking it from the get go . They have to buy a bunch of other stuff just to be considered for some . I asked for another good one and they all said this one is awesome , hope so $60 .     I’ll let you know Saturday! Yes I dialed it in off my sand bags at just shy of 100 yards ( the length of my range ) 140 gr . I’m not a great rifle man, the gun is set if I am . Although I have very large farm fields I seldom had to shoot even 100 .

    My DW .22, pretty old great trigger ! The rifle I’ll use this year Savage mod.16 7mm 08 , all weather . Won at Culver’s QDMA banquet, o highly recommend attending , it was great !

    I have a 6 inch blue DW .22 , sold my .44 SS ,8 inch heavy barrel DW several years ago .. I’ll add pics in a bit . Great guns .

    Washed my hunting clothes today , first time since bow opener . Took out my rifle and daughters 20 ga, they’re already dialed in mostly fondled them and dug out some ammo . Daughter stopped by to visit or really drop off laundry ... told her that her stand was hot, but she needs to sit a bit and they’re moving behind it oddly . Got heater ready for hut and drier sheets as mice are trying to take it,over . Hut is back up plan if she gets cold .

    My guy boils but with his solution only for 20 minutes, no problem with teeth loosening , your welcome to go,look at bear and deer skulls he’s done. He’s in Canandaigua, near my hunting spot . PM me if interested I’ll send you his # .

    Same here , mostly . Of the four I’ve seen, one to far, one to fast ,one to dark, and one to far and to dark . Lots of small ones, no mid sized to tempt me .

    Awhile back i would pull the Buick out if the garage so I could work in there . Often leave it in driveway over night , next day dead happened 2 x It seems the ignition switch / key was worn and even though I shut it off and pulled key out, it wasn’t all the way in off position . I’m guessing key as wife drove it and it never happened with her . Thats my guess as if I made sure it was in ,locked position it never happened again .
