    45 , light rain stopped , sky’s turning blue . Zero deer here too but can’t see far. My thoughts have turned to eggs and hot tub.....

    Ya wind just picked up here as well. Really thick where I am , won’t see a deer till he’s on me . No bow hook at this stand forces me to keep bow on hand .

    About to walk in , windy at home not bad here, for once ! This stand will be tricky to find in the dark ....

    Tell him you know me, he should say my favorite FF or , one of my best hunters . He’s a good salesman that way . One time Joe and I each got bucks and took them there, we asked the young gal who checks them in to take a pic. She said oh Father and son ? Wtf, joes maybe five years younger then me . He’s given me hats, and when I brought in a small one he charged me a little over half, something I would never ask for though .

    Hey now ! Tony’s in Monroe county , my town of Webster actually . I’ve been going to,him since he stared in his garage ,when he lived off Bay rd. Great guy and products .

    Ha ha ha that’s funny , Moog ! Next time get up around 4 AM and put it in a neighbors tote . I pay $80 and he does a top job, cut wrapped frozen . Plus I look forward to going there each year he’s a great guy , and tons of bucks to see .

    Ya I saw him a couple times that year, OD he was chasing a doe around a cut corn field for 30 minutes in the middle of the afternoon . Never quite came within range of my 12 ga, although I’m sure many would have lobed a few slugs . I kept figuring sooner or later they’d run a bit closer , but no .

    To me that’s why I don’t shoot . One lung hits are not for me .

    Here’s one pic taken from the combine . I’ll sometimes get calls from the farmer when he’s cutting a field by me .

    More then that and a helicopter too . Guy spent the morning driving to different spots shooting folks ( some say family members ) I believe three shot one killed by him . So,they were all,out looking for him this morning , and driving a U haul with Arizona plates kinda makes you stand out. He was spotted and lead them a chase for I think 20 minutes. He lead them back to a scene of an earlier shooting on Forester st, a St I know very well as it was in my first in district when I worked on Goodman st .     Had this one , on draft at the Brew House, was disappointing. Not a big ipa guy but I like some doubles and East Coast ones , I had one and went to their October Fest . I had high hopes for this one .

    We’re heading out on the boat . I like to hunt as much as anyone, but this early might as well,be picky . My goal lately has been to,hunt smarter , as compared to,often .

    That’s something to,think about , we have a ton of them where I hunt . Last year in gun I dropped my buck essentially where he stood 15 yards from my stand , I sat there a few minutes and killed a coyote who, was coming straight to,the buck maybe 5 minutes after I killed the buck . Last night at last l light two of them came out into a field with deer in it , I believe they scented me ( less then 20 yards) and took off . Having pushed deer back before I,learned better , I still vote for sitting, but coyotes are a wildcard , but if you jump,the deer and he takes off they still may get him before you do .

    Same here , I was going fri afternoon , but now may go morning . But stand I want to use , doesn’t have much of a path in yet ,so in the dark may be a challenge.

    Somewhat , I went OD AM, because well I wait all year for this ,also sat one afternoon because it “ dropped” to upper 50s . I may go tomorrow morning as I think the day starts out mid 50s but that 76 high doesn’t thrill me, but the wind will be prefect for one of my better stands . So I’ll hunt a couple hours and go shoot my guns . But that’s it for several days, highs up to mid 80s , no thanks .
