  1. I watch the St. Louis Cardinals, and go see them in Pittsburg each year . Never really watched football, basketball, and so forth , I couldn’t tell you who played in the Super Bowl . I do like Professional Bull Riding , perhaps the last true sport . Guy gets thrown off, he just picks up his hat and walks off with his head down in shame . Doesnt blame anyone , no excuses, far more and severe injuries . Guy in “ ball “ sports sits out because his hamstring is tight , these guys ride with broken bones .
  2. My take on property line is this . As long as your shots are on your side go for it ! Yes I own land I also have exclusive use of other land , being farmland the lines are often hedgerows , I have had stands in them and so have the neighboring farms , no big deal . I have a very nice thicket that holds nice deer, the farm to the south is as open as a golf course, their hired men sit just to the South of my thicket and shoot deer as they step off . I go over and congratulate them . One young guy I let hang a stand on edge of our thicket rather then sit in the drainage ditch that he was using . I find working with the neighbors to be an advantage .
  3. “pulling “ for you Eddie . My bow has been down to 50# for a few years, now having trouble with that , I’d think if you can shoot a couple at 60, 50 would be much easier . I’ d turn mine down lower if I could ...... New bow next year for me .
  4. Ha, I was just grabbing a cigar out of the humidor and heading there now ! The last ones in it were five 20 something females ..... This week has been Dr appointments, putting boat away in buddy’s factory, banking and so forth. I’ll be ready to hit my stands Thur and fri afternoons ! Testing shoulder out Thur AM ,feels good though after cortisone shot .
  5. Sorry to hear, Larry . I’m on meds for gerd, at first they said , No coffee ,alcohol, hot spices ,citrus. Ok I pretty much live on the first three.... Ive eased back into booze and spices .
  6. You know why they call it PMS ? Because Mad Cow Disease was already taken .
  7. All ladders . Sold my hang ons, traded the LW climber for some plumbing work . Kept one LW hang on and four sticks , I may even put it up this week .
  8. Dogs the one in the front
  9. I used to kill many in the woods of Hard rd . My kids would just run them down on the road though . To built up to hunt now, leaving cars as the only option .
  10. I woke up and off to the Dr for cortisone shot to my rt shoulder , in hopes I can reliably draw bow again .
  11. TF, I find it easy every year to kill them during deer season, had two at under 30 yards the other afternoon . My buddy runs them with dogs, kills stacks of them ,year round would be great , I have little interest in hunting them in the cold after deer season ,summer would be fun .
  12. Few years age i had a balloon practicing touch and goes in a field I had my turkey decoy in .
  13. Perfect here . Lots of leaves have dropped , next to no wind, the leaves on ground are crunchy, I was able to shoot a few arrows on walk in That’s my new plan hunt afternoons when its warmer and shoulder is loose , shoot on way in and draw from stand . 55 degrees.
  14. So,many variables. I walk in mostly along field edges, which is why I like to go in just as it’s starting to get light if your eyes are adjusted, this allows me to scan fields which my binoculars . Now what I do depends on many things can I back out and get to another stand I want to,use, do,I think these deer will even go past the stand I’m heading to , is it a doe or two,or a monster buck ? I prefer not to take a chance on spooking the buck. If I was relatively close and I thought they may head my way I may try to hunker down for a shot ,as that would be way cool .
  15. Seems to be . It’s limbs are wider then 17 inches and it’s draw weight can go from 125-200# , 100 and 200 are the min and max in NYS .
  16. Headlamp hangs from top strap of pack, Fenix PD35 ( up,to 1,000 true out the front lumens ) in pack, back up PD35 in truck , and Single cell Fenix on key ring , extra batteries in pack .. I like flashlights .....
  17. My outer clothes, get washed in scent free stuff and hung up,outside at the beginning of bow . My under clothes , base layers, tend to be mostly street clothes and washed with the normal wash at our house . Im not even sure why I wash the outer layers in “ special “ soap .

Just had a Genny Cream Ale ! Oldest daughter went to Costa Rica, Last January, some eco tour for young folks and four of the girls she met are here for a long Fall week end . From Calf, Alberta, Boston and LI ! Doing Letchworth, Niagara Falls, Apple farm , chimney bluffs ,tonight is dinner at our house and hot tub . Told them if you come to Rochester you have to eat a garbage plate and have Cream Ale . I took care of the Cream Ale .
  19. Yes . Bad shoulders for years , got it so I could practice ok all summer . once I sit still all the sudden I can’t draw , cold doesn’t help . I could draw friends Matthews fine, need to replace my bow . back out Sunday afternoon , warm and sunny , we’ll see . This is why last year I bought an Xbow Moog I’m not hunting till Sunday night , you can always hunt with me just shoot me a text next time
  20. Nada. Home now. Both hands have been “ numb “tingling since early morning , couldn’t draw to shoot field point before climbing down, second attempt got it back . Shot it well, shot two more on ground a bit easier . Might not matter that I didn’t see a buck . I guess I’ll draw a few times an hour on stand to see if that helps .
