  1. Ok thanks , our daughter works on the 6th floor, but says he's most likely on the 7th . Anyways if there is anything she can help, you, with let me know . They could swap hunting stories !
  2. Prayers sent . If I may what hospital ?
  3. When I sat on the grand jury, we no billed two cases that really pissed off the ADA . To bad, in one case they were really over charging , and basically lying . A cop, placed his hand on a guys neck / trap area , from behind , the guy kinda shrugged his shoulder and he spun around, and that broke a bone in the cops hand. He was not trying to arrest the guy at that time . The cop was showing how the guy spun, the ADA said he needs to,put it into words as they can't record a " movement ". The cop did not know how to say what happened , so the ADA said " so at that point he swung at you" I stopped the proceedings and said , " he's showing the guy turned away ( spun) and you're saying " he swung at you " like he punched the cop that's not correct . So they changed it , and later we dismissed all the charges . Had it gone forward and without my challenging what they were trying to do , the record would have showed he swung at the cop .
  4. Pretty sure it's tresspass. That said as kids we played on them all the time , trains often derailed on the old Hojack Line by my house , we'd play on top off and in the cars . A few times the cops came , they just sent us on our way . I would not worry about it , just stay aware of approaching trains ......
  5. Used to do it back in the '70's.... Found some old coins , tools and a lot of junk . I'm sure detectors have improved a bit since then . I'm planning on retiring in late May . Might be a good time killer for me .
  6. Love my Maui Jims ! Their warranty is top notch as well, I know guys who sat on theirs, sent them in for repair , and they sent them a new pair ( you pay $10 shipping ). Now these are $200 glasses .
  7. Thanks Paula, it sure sounded like they were on there own land .
  8. It beat loading safes into tractor trailers all day ! Work paid me and the day was shorter as well .Plus there was women !! i did excuse myself from one case , as the defendant was a friend .... One box is under a Civic somewhere in Buffalo, the one here I'm sure has no $20 in it.
  9. did a month on a Grand jury, loved it . Been called for jury duty but not picked . My occupation was always exempt from jury duty till a few years ago . Grand jury was prior too my current job . Honestly I think my answers ,since they were mostly opposite the others is what did me in .They don't like free thinkers in the box.
  10. The coyote hunters were on their own land . Not an excuse just clearing that up . Its light till about 6:15, so the shed Hunter most likely quit around then and was heading out . Glad the hunter was charged .
  11. well for one thing beating the 5 year look back often is not easy . For another living trusts don't protect you . As I said prior see an elder care attorney best 11k I spent in awhile . Half a loaf , protects you from the look back. Gifting asses is risky at best and also subject to the look back, as well as the person / persons spending it , or losing half of it in a divorce. This is Not your standard Revocable Living Trust It’s important to note that a Home Protection Trust is very different than the standard revocable “living trust” that many people have already set up. A revocable living trust does not protect your assets from nursing home costs. The Home Protection Trust is an irrevocable trust specifically designed to protect its holdings from loss if you ever have to apply for Medicaid to pay for your long term care costs. When you transfer the things you want to protect to the trust you don’t have to sell them. You don’t have to change your investments. What you own now is merely moved under the protective umbrella of the trust. The trust can sell things held by it, and buy new things. If your home is held under the trust, and you decide to move, the trust can sell it and buy a new one. I’ve created many of these trusts for my clients, including some of my own family, over the past twenty years. Most people don’t even notice the trust once it has been set up. It changes things just enough to protect your assets from nursing home costs, from issues with your children, and from the risks involved when a surviving spouse remarries.
  12. oh I love winter too ! As long as I spend it about 1,500 miles south of NY .
  13. Trust me the guys at work get their shots in ! Hey I've never made a monthly payment or a rent I mean " lease" payment . My wife's has under 70 K the others a bit over 100k. Only once have I spent in the 5 figures for a car , and that was a new MPV in '91.
  14. A fresh snow fall is beautiful , and a storm that shuts things down , the quiet and peacefulness as one just holes up at home is relaxing . Thats good for about one week, then give me warm temps and sun !!!!
  15. Youngest's daughters car '02 Civic , normal $2.00 key, oldest daughter '04 Grand AM $2.00 key, wife '03 and myself '04 . Our kids have used the hidden key countless times, along with the $20 I put in the hide a key box . For those that don't lock themselves out or misplace the primary keys often , one can put the spare behind the license plate using one of the four mounting screws, or simply wiring it to the hole the screw goes through and just let it hang behind the plate . The plate itself with the four screws tightened down will keep a key behind it , wire being more of a safety .
  16. Personally I'll take it ! I don't care much what it does to the birds, bees or buds, I can walk our dog around the block and not slip and fall on ice, car's clean, and one, layer is all I need outside, not to ,mention the low RG&E bills . Should be our last full winter up here , it's a great one to go,out on !
  17. Every car we own has spare keys hidden underneath them .
  18. Nice find , I just did two hours in some suburban woods around our home , and all I got to show for it is bleeding arms and a muddy beagle .
  19. At work. Strip steaks, roasted asparagus and baked potato . Had a grill on fire on a porch right after we sat down , came back sat down and caught a dryer fire . Which is why we keep a roll of tin foil on the table while eating .

    Beer

Ah your ok most of the bodies in the river are downstream from the brewery !
  21. My mom is 94 . We did " half a loaf " to,protect 1/2 her assets , private paid one year , just switched over to Medicaid .
  22. Of all the things I've lost , I miss my mind the most ! Curently a Spyderco Ladybug U.S.N forum knife is Mia , only 600 made , but I bought two so I have a nib one in the safe . Fenix PD 35 flashlight . Left it out for our daughter to use walking the dog, when we were in FLA. she used it every night, day we got home she can't find it . But I have another because I lost it last year ..... Waited 2 months before I gave up hope and bought another. Then it turned up in a large tool box I store ammo in. Good luck . BTW it's 16 K a month where my Mom is, we pay 12K under the plan we worked out .

    Beer

Started off with a Genny Bock ( draft) , then a Rohrbach Scotch Ale, that was going ,be it until a LT from engine 7 bought me and IPA of some sort . He's a great guy so I won't hold on the IPA against him .
  24. Sure , I know that ( well not the tons of suits part ), and Yuengling along with Boston brewing and Matts are considered craft beers . If one looks Genesee brewery produces fewer barrels then the definition requires to,be a craft beer , and since just one location they're local as well . Should be interesting , and after tonight's Union meeting I think the brothers will do some research on the subject !
  25. http://www.whec.com/news/walmart-lawsuit-craft-beer-rochester/4402045/?cat=565 So Genesee makes a private label beer for Wal Mart , as they have for countless others ,( they also, brewed a ton of Sam Adams when they could not keep up with demand) . Anyways some beer people are suing saying is not " a craft beer" going by some loosely worded definitions by a Brewers Assoc. but many of the things they state also apply to, all breweries . Myself I don't care who makes it or how much they make , I either like it or I don't . Genesee btw has smaller brewery on site where they brew small batch beers , they also, have helped many small local brewery's get started and have shared their facilities with them . So what then is a craft beer ? What do you think the court will rule ? I think the case is weak .
