I may have found said button. Out of 12 sits this year I've seen deer 11 times! And often 6 plus. Shooters in broad day light just strolling along, I do need to find the kill button it seems....

Walking in thinking this is a quitter route when I see that horizontal line we look for in the vertical woods! There is a buck 60 yards out ! Right under stand ..... I wait him out , he leaves I come on .

I was fine actually ,insulated bibs and my heavy dog walking camo hoodie thing from Cabelas ,over Under Armour ,thin gloves but kept hands under bibs for the most part.

Wind was not to and at first, other then being from the north which blows for most my stands . It's really picked up now. Time for 4 sunny side up eggs and toast !

Same here today. 1 unknown , 2 doe 1 young 8pt. Early then zzzzzz sticking it out another hour, be back for last two.

First buck of the morning , walked right under my stand. Edit 2 doe big one to far small one I could not rule out being a BB

Was at Webster's Dicks store yesterday to get a new face mask. There was a very long line that did not seem to be moving.i asked what's that for? Clerk said extra doe tags. Nobody in line seemed to,happy .

I don't set my clocks back,deer don't why should I ? As my friend s say ," Larry time " . Joe wants to hunt last two hours I said ok meet you at 3:30 he said you mean 2:30.... Whatever we'll be on stand for last 2 hours !

Good luck to you! Lawdwaz,your son should take every test he can,same for Red. Took me 7 years to,get hired by the FD. Well the first test I never took the second part so had to wait 4 years for the next one,then 3 to get hired. I'm tier two.few of is leave after 20 ,even if you'er 50 or so you'er going to live another 30 years and the retirement pay does not go up. Even with the changes in tiers people are still lining up for the jobs. Take every test,people tend to do better over time.

I tend not t,use such things. Last year I put it on a branch in front of one of my stands in a thicket,because like you I'd been hearing about it. Now you'll see deer almost everyday you sit in that stand,I saw 3 bucks the farm would let me shoot in the one time I sat there this year. Last year with it out I had a spike walk up to it,smell it then lick it,other deer paid it no mind. Pretty small sample size to tell,I'd use it again .

Found a1,911 Marbles lying on the road in front of the firehouse one day as I was headed home! No blood and nobody stabbed the night before ,so good to go ! I used to metal detect, still have myWhite Beachcomber ,from the '70s. Really thinking about getting a new one . As I age and the body parts seem to weaken might be a good fit. Oh my hot tub is my most expensive " cigar accessory ". My Fav. Beer Dogfish head Rasion D'être has been discontinued ,well draft only if you can find it.

Been chasing by me for a few days. 12 plus deer yesterday , 8 bucks,2shooters as late as 10 AM. Young ones running does all over.

I wish I knew..... I've had meat in the freezer every year since 1980 something . Years back I set my own size limits for bucks,then I stopped that for awhile. Years ago the farm went mature buck only,with somewhat loose definitions of that,I was never placed under the new rules as my spot is a ways away from the main farm . 5 or 6 years ago I was placed under the rules,and was fine with that as I've killed bucks most years but most were young,and really needed to be forced to step up my game. Since ,I've taken two that made the cut and one opps! I was ok with not taking a buck every year. Last year was looking like the second year in a row of no buck till the last Sat. Of gun. I went to a friends land with no rules and shot a young 7pt. I was happy to take that deer! So I have no idea,I guess I'm just a hunter .

Stone,that bobber a XS 650 ? Had a stock one myself. Would love a XS bobber. Hobbies, well I like to waterski ,go to the gym,shoot,I'm into knives but don't make them. I have some Striders ,a Hinderer , a boat load of Spyderco,some old fixed blades ( Marbles ect) I used to camp and canoe a lot. I also enjoy what today they call " craft beer" and cigars.

Then there is Paul my friend who kills nice bucks every year in bow or gun. He washes his hunting clothes just like any of his clothes ,in Tide. He showers with the same soap and shampoo year round. He uses no scent killers sprays,cover scents. He certainly would not spend the money for scent loc,his camo is old and faded , but his stands are well concealed ,he goes to great lengths ,wiring up limbs and brush,hunting out of pines He only hunts a stand if the wind is perfect,not just for hunting but approaching it as well. He seldom hunts mornings,as he likes the afternoons better,so most of his stands are where he knows they move through then,because of years of scouting told him so . It's the carpenter not the hammer.

I stated on Oct 27th and go,back a few days after opening day of gun..... Although a NYC wedding is killing 3 days next week ! But I plan to hunt hard before and after ,so could be a nice break . Today I saw 8 bucks,,two shooters and a couple of the young ones were chasing does all over. A wide 8pt walking the open hardwoods at 10:00 am,saw him yesterday at 9:30 a couple hundred yards over in a thicket. I'll be Hitting it hard Sunday to Thur.

Wide 8pt came right down center of open hard woods. Passed behind me 50 yards . Same one I saw yesterday at 9 30 in thicket .

Fork horn on the move add on a basket 6 come on big boys Ok now 2 what looked like does running all around the woods like school kids on recess ..... Update I stand to shoot a doe headed my way when she freezes and locks onto something , oh another young buck about 13 or 14 inch spread. She moves off he stays for abit.another young buck north of me crazy morning

A doe then a nice 8pt now a spike chasing a Doe ,they left and a small doe came right under me. Drew back , passed it . Seams like a hot morning lets see what else comes by

Hunt smarter ,not harder. I used to "have" to go every chance I had ,which are a lot. I burned out myself and my spots. I sit out many times now, I only do one end of the day this early , I have a few stands I have not sat in and some only once. To windy, I sleep in,to warm same thing. By going just the " better" times my deer per sit has gone way up. Were just knocking on the door of great hunting,relax,take a break,recharge ,come back strong!
