I have noticed it a lot. I have tried for trout several times up at Olcott and Oak Orchard piers on Lake Ontario and there has been very little activity when I have been there. And it's a cold wind coming of the lake.

Sightings are becoming more common, people just need to be aware especially with their small pets.

I have been out twice this week to try casting from the Olcott pier and the mud line has been heavy. It was a few hundred yards out with a strong breeze from the northeast to boot. Get on the clear side of that mud line and you might see the rods bending. Good luck!
