  2. I've got a story that'd blow your mind, when I have time I'll relate it. (I was there but NOT the one who almost went to the clink)
  3. No, this is for a friend in Florida. My favorite marinade is Wegman's Lemon & Garlic.......
  4. What simple marinade would you recommend for grilling back straps to a friend out of town? If it is some ingredients that are put together, it must be simple. If it is an over the counter marinade, that's fine too as long is it is available. Thanks.......
  5. I wonder how many buck get by your dad while he's texting you or reading your texts?
  6. Kind of like me watching NASCAR.
  7. No, I don't believe that was his reason. It was (I'd like to think he wasn't BS'ing) the reason I stated.
  8. I'm going against the grain here as I'm not a huge fan of SR but do enjoy his shows. I was watching the tail end of one tonight where he was hunting black bear in AK and passed on a dandy bear at the end of his hunt. He said just enjoyed watching that bear enough and didn't need to kill it. No, he hadn't lost his "killer instinct" but something about that bear left him satisfied with the end result. (or something to that effect, LOL) I had the show on DVR and after listening to his closing remarks, I hit the rewind button and jotted down his words. I like him just a little more, now.......... "Hunting brings about all these snap decisions we have to end up reliving over and over again in our minds. There are shots we didn't take but should have and shots we shouldn't have taken but did. In the end, I suppose the latter are a lot easier to deal live with than the former. The hunting life is never short on complexity, there's always something to keep you up at night. By looking at animals I suppose, we end up looking pretty closely at ourselves." Steve Rinella
  9. Glad they are helping you, I may need some help also. One of mine is acting funny these days and I'm pretty disappointed. I have two cameras not even in the woods as we speak, both Brownings.
  10. I see what you did........smart, VERY smart.
  11. Probably 10 years ago I watched (with only antlerless tags in my pocket) a giant of epic portions in the rut. I had three or four other bucks around me and one hot doe. The younger (an assumption of course) bucks just about crapped their drawers when the King showed up. He didn’t even partake in too much chasing, he just kind of cruised through......an unforgettable snowy November 13 day I’ll always remember.
  12. I’d surely look like a double headed dork if I showed up with my Zebco 202 at the dock huh? What a wild trip Dan, hang some more pics/link when you get your internet back to full power. Thanks for sharing.
  13. I think the DEC is going to happy to see you reported it. Heck, if you butcher your own, report it whenever with a fictional harvest date. (This is an anonymous post by the way)
  14. Wow I bet his/her department freaked with that development.
  15. Handguns? Best of luck with that.................
  16. Smart father you have there..........
  17. Don't buy any, I'll hook you up tomorrow if I can swing by your house. I have about 30 pairs in my truck...........I roll my own.
  18. Impressive.......... I guess I'm over 160 now (give or take a couple) and didn't use gloves at all for the first 120 or so but do like to use them if they are in my reach. A couple reasons that I like them are in very cold weather I don't have to peel any clothing off, just slide the shoulder length gloves all the way up and rock on. Another reason is if there is no water, snow or wet leaves I can be assured I'll be pretty clean and not bloody up my bow, gun, clothes, sandwich or truck. Disease is the furthest thing from my mind........
  19. This is one of those posts that I feel like I've started before........maybe not? So have you or anyone you know ever lost a handgun? What did you do about it and what was the stance of your County Pistol Permit Dept? (I only ask because I THOUGHT I lost one, it has turned up)
