So yesterday my 6 month old sump pump went south on me and I was working of course. Ran home and took a peek.......wife already had back up pump in the crock and draining to the street via garden hose. Pulled croaked pump and returned it no questions asked to Ed Young's Hardware. Came home later in the day and got it up and running. All is working good except the basement got some water around the east wall and now it smells like my feet. Went to hook up the dehumidifier and found my drain hose has gone south too! WTH......I hate running a dehumidifier with just the dinky tank as it fills so fast and then shuts off. I stumbled around the shed, garage and basement for almost an hour, looking for some piece of 1/2" ID hose to go over the drain pipe. Damn, nothing. Then I started looking for a piece of pipe that would just drain it to a 5 gallon bucket, that way it'd run all night and make things all purty again down here. Nope, nothing I can find then all of a sudden it dawned on me, how about the clear plastic tube that one of my T/C ramrods came in? PERFECTION!!! She's pissing right fine now!!!!

I will NEVER admit that it is a little fun but good heavens, I hope my friends don't see me riding it. It took a little tinkering, fresh gas and a new battery to get 'er fired up. If Ringling Bros didn't just fold up, I could have traveled with them.

Had a good hunt this morning. Called 5 jakes in but couldn't make out a beard then when I did they were too close together. After 5 minutes of that game they walked off on their way. I waited another 5-6 minutes after they were out of sight then twisted around to the direction they went. Pulled out the slate call and made a few yelps & purrs. 30 seconds later here they come........they milled around for a few minutes then spread out so I could kill one. This guys beard was showing as his Scotch Tape that held it down must have come off. Killed him at about 30 yards with the Heavyweight 5,6 and 7 blended load. The new Burris FF 3 worked great.

I've always used email like most of you but just thought I'd check. I listed something the other day and within minutes thought I had it sold....then the stupid questions started! Had another email today with a ridiculously low offer that wasn't worth the effort of a "pound salt" reply. Oh well, I'll keep moving it to the top.

If any of you Niagara County or northern Erie County lug nuts have never been to the Woodcock Bros Brewery, you really need to go. The beef on weck pizza is tremendous. JUST prior to the pizza though, I can highly recommend the bruschetta bread appetizer. Oh and yes, their beer is great too.
