OH, I've had plenty of those "things" too. Tell you what, I scored a Garcia Mitchell 300 in New Condition, completely unused for $15 at an estate sale a few weeks ago. I sold it on Ebay a few days later for $165.......a pretty good ROI. Winner! Dogs are usually what I end up with though.

The documentation and serial numbers are everything with these guns. The paper work is VERY thorough. I think it's cool that they call them "War Trophy's"........not too PC, huh?

I have a Chinese SKS that my uncle gave me years ago. I'm thinking about selling it but can't figure a price. It was a "bring back" from Vietnam. He was in the Air Force and brought it back in 1969. I have all the papers noting it as a "war trophy". Pretty interesting stuff! It has a name carved into the butt area of the stock, in Chinese or some other language. All serial numbers match and the bayonet is perfect. There is some damage to the fore end section of the stock, from battle I'd guess. My uncle never shot it and neither have I. I do have 50 rounds of ammo; 40 of them are in two boxes marked "Norinco" Peoples Republic of China. Anybody here have an idea of the value?

That magazine is one of those magazines that uses "generic" articles published in multiple state rags. The editor must have been on vacation at the time.

Not just ANY sharp knife, it is best if the blade is conducive to performing the job of cutting a very difficult thing to pinch, pull and hold with an easy push in and then coring it out while still pinching the anus. A skinning knife will make things miserable.....

Mine is a 1999 AO System (made by DBI Sala) . I k ow it's old but it's never been stressed and doesn't ever see an UV lighting. I paid a good buck for it and was one of the first kids on the block to use a full body harness instead of just a POS belt. I scored an exact copy of mine from my dad last year, that'll be my backup system He's done climbing trees I love mine, wouldn't dream of going up without it.

Although I've hunted dove in early September, the real FEEL of fall comes as the temps start coming down and leaves JUST start to turn. That's what trips my fall trigger.....

I had to go into Lockport around 6:50 tonight and saw smoke from the 990 at North French. I got as far north on Transit Rd as Lincoln Ave before I figured I'd better turn around. Turns out it was/IS the High Tread tire recycling plant.......again. Well actually it is as far as I know their third fire that they have had at different locations in that general area. It's a MASSIVE fire! I'd say it's time to shut that place down or get them to relocate........ The building is very close to the Erie Canal and run off from the fire is sure to end up in the canal; that sucks.

All three critters on a 5 day hunt? That'd be quite an accomplishment........ I wouldn't sweat the taxidermy bill just yet!

I have to do some thinking.........I hunt 8N, 8H and 9H and have to plan things out before applying. I'll get some DMAP's and consigned tags also so all has to be taken into account before pulling the "trigger". A Philadelphia lawyer may have to assist.........

I have one Browning and am not sure what model it is, I'll try and check later. The video quality is outstanding in the daytime. I checked: It's a Dark Ops HD I had a bear swat it pretty hard a couple weeks ago while in the video mode and although it was knocked silly and off course it continued to work fine.

Are you going to tile or use a shower surround? Im going to roll the dice and say "don't use a vapor barrier". Just use your cement board or DensShield type material.

Funny thing Growie.......for all the trail cam videos of coyotes I get, it's so rare to see more than one at a time. On Sunday's pull I did get two pups running 100 mph by the camera, ironically! But for a critter that does "roam in packs", 99.9 times out of 100 I see single 'yotes on my cams. Hope you're snoozing now......

I have 4 cams out and three out of four had bear action. Actually more damned action than I'd like...... One camera had two different bear; looked like a cub and a bigger bear a couple days apart. The next camera (about 120 yards away) had a bear making a snack out of a camera. It's a GREAT 20 second video that for the life of me I can't get uploaded due to my BS internet speed. That camera still worked when I pulled the card yesterday but I had to re-position a few batteries after I opened it as they were banged around quite a bit. That camera has sound so that adds a very cool dimension!! The other camera (about 600 yards south) was also molested. I'm sure it was one of the same two bears.........He/she looks like it is sniffing the bottom of the camera as all you can see is its ears and hear it breathing/smelling. Then, all of a sudden it takes its paw and smacks the camera silly. Like the other camera, I now got great videos of NOTHING for the next three weeks because the cams are pointing at the ground. I have to get my internet upgraded. This DSL is the pits and is holding me back............:) Oh yea, I have a couple buck videos that are worthy of some bandwidth also!!
