I'm very familiar of course with Medina and Albion and have fond memories of Bath, Hornell and Penn Yan. Does that make me some kind of a redneck? Hudson Monticello Medina Albion Bath Hornell Johnstown Penn Yan Norwich Camden

Turkey boogers, black bean rice, broccoli and a small bowl (liar) of vanilla ice cream.

Thanks guys for all the replies.......everybody wins a package of sausage. In hindsight, I shouldn't have taken as much meat as I did. 42# or so pounds of venison chunks turned into 65# of sausage.

.22 I'd guess?

I visited with a good friend this morning in Arcade. On my way home I wasn't in a big rush so just headed north on Rt 98, enjoying the heck out of the countryside. I don't recall where I crossed 20A but i wound my way up to the north east then circled back to the north west. I ended up running into Rt 98, just south of Attica. I headed north then decided I'd rather see that beautiful country on the north side of 98 while heading south. (make sense??) Around Lower Cotton Hill Rd is the area that really surprised me. I eventually turned back to the north off Rt 98and IIRC wound my BACK to 20A and that surprised me! Headed west for a bit then turned north just before Wales and went north again, ending up on Clinton St. (Rt 354) After that I just headed came in through Alden until I got to Genesee St, then headed home from there. It was a neat little ride through some great country, regardless of the light rain. Anybody hunt any of those areas, how is it? (I know there are some dandy bucks killed there each year but I know nothing about that general area.)

It's a long story but I went and grabbed one from Walmart today. I got a pretty inexpensive Food Saver 2000FM........I had some left over bags from last years foray with a 15 year old unit and also grabbed a double pack of the wide ones. The story is I had some sausage made up by a local butcher shop. When I dropped of the meat, I asked the shop owner if they'd wrap it for me as I was thinking I'd be short of time and it takes a while to do up 65 pounds of slippery links. I like 6 to a package and he said no sweat. I dropped off the meat on Tuesday and figured they'd be ready Thursday. I called yesterday and the said they were done and I could grab them today and I did. They didn't wrap them they just bagged them in a pretty nice little freezer bag but I noticed lots of voids and they had to be loaded with "air". When I got home I looked them over closer and they were about 70% frozen. The way I like to wrap is with a Cling wrap then freezer paper but I didn't think I get enough air out with them in a frozen state so I opted for the Vacuum Sealer. I guess it worked OK but it's only marginally faster, those bags aren't cheap and I had trouble sealing at the end because some of the blood/condensation was thawing and getting sucked out at the seal. Kind of a PIA............... 42 bags of sausage later I'm done! Who doesn't like a vacuum sealer? I guess I'm on the fence, it'll probably be much faster to do ground, huh? I sure don't mind my old fashioned way of doing it but.....................

We haven't had anything but laptops in 7 years and I don't think you need to spend anywhere near $1400 on a machine.

I'd buy an Internet Forum and kick off all the people that give me grief. All the rest I'd send monthly monetary gifts........

A very nice buck (looked like an 8pt) walked across the back field of my office on Transit Rd (Clarence side) in northern Erie County. It's just a great thing to see a buck this time of year, really a wonderful sight IMO. He stopped once and glanced the 120 yards towards the office, just standing there; knowing we were all good. I'd dare he say he winked at me. -

Great job CCHC..............can't wait to see the progress! -
What other CF rifles do you have? If you don't have any others it's a poor way to start off........... I have a few different CF rifles to choose from and will use a 300WSM once in awhile for a change. I like 150-165gr bullets 'cause 180's kick me enough to take the fun out of it. It'll even work on coyote............. Let us know what you decide!

Never owned either and have mounted (and taken off) many scopes. Never (I hate to say this because for damned sure I'll jinx myself) broke a screw or stripped a hole. Mounted lots for friends and family and THAT puts pressure on! I ain't drilling and tapping anything, that's for the 'smith. Farmer tight isn't for scopes!
