I don't know if your question is answered in the syllabus or not. Maybe somebody with some Google FU can search it out??

Interesting......I don't know beans about those FN/Mauser action being a LH rifle shooter. I do have a interesting gun you guys will enjoy........it'll probably go on Gunbroker pretty soon. A Belgium Browning Medallion Safari Grade 30-06 with period correct B&L Balvar scope in adjustable mounts. (the scope has no internal adjustments) Not sure what it's worth but we'll see soon.

For every darn squirrel that has trip my trigger this "trail cam" season I'd by RICH. I have one spot that I have to move the cam next time I'm down. I pulled the cards today and one had probably 200 20 second gray squirrel movies. UGGH............... I did get a cool clip of 6 adult long beards with a couple hens. Mix in a half a coyote, a fox or two, coons and a couple small bucks I'd say it wasn't the worst pull ever but darn those grays! PYGMY, come shoot 'em!!

Taking of young bucks does it really make sense?

Well if you've been at it for 52 years you must have stacked up some pretty good 8's and 10's in the first 20 years. Yes/no? How about the last 30 years, what have you killed? -
Cool deal! They don't ALWAYS spook from gunfire........

Yes, all of us older members here have probably logged some time in one of them. Always look first before you stick your finger in the coin return slot. Trust me................................

Funny you mention that, I have never seen so many frogs before. My office on Transit Rd in E Amherst has had them climbing the outside of the building and I was doing and estimate in Wilson and saw a pile of them there also. Wonder WTF THAT means??????

Hello Aunt Bee, you baking any pies today?

Scouting like mentioned above is key. In the morning, face your vehicle to the east and watch the sky as the sun is just waking up, looking for the birds lifting off the water and heading to the fields. Opposite in the afternoon and be ready to roll! A co-pilot is a necessity, you need to drive and the other needs watch where the ducks go. Then secure permission. Lots of farmers are miffed that you want to hunt ducks in a cut field so permission is granted readily. (I'll bet you'll be wishing we could hunt dove in NYS too) Sign the damned petition will you! EDIT To ADD......these ducks don't need any water in the field at all, just feed.

Oh....................crap. Sorry about that BJ, it was late at night and I'd been asleep for a couple hours, woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so I figured I'd check in on the doings here. Either way the well wishes are still there to you and Eddie. -
Oh my, did I get the wrong idea! I thought that picture WAS your sister in law. I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding.................... No, a coon doing things like that doesn't seem normal but maybe the rest of his immediate family is now pavement pancakes and he's looking for some lovin'? Poor thang..............

My limit is around 20,less is more for me as I tend to get rattled easy. A slam dunk (yea freaking right!) is 12-13 yards and, once again, closer is desirable. Killed last years buck very close, 5 yards IIRC. 30, 40, 50? NFW..............................(for me)

Another plug for a cool old hunk of Remington love. Dogleg bolt takes the cake!!
-
I haven't too many big things I can think of that need to get done and if I mentioned then you'd giggle like a little school girl. Your "2dolist" is much more substantial than mine...................

I don't have a clue when or where I'll be on my first sit of the season, makes no difference to me. Way too many factors to consider at this point. Luck to all!!

How DO you enjoy crow? BBQ, broiled or stuffed & baked? It's all good Vince, I have no issues with Remington OR Kimber. As you may have heard me mention, earlier this year I bought a .308 Montana for my father. I was quite impressed with the fit, finish and function of the gun. I put a Leupold varix III 2.5x8 on it in Talley mounts and it's a great shooter. If they put the bolt on the port side I'd have had a couple, no doubt. I'll stick with my NULA guns for the foreseeable future even though they haven't been trouble free either.

Very cool deal here.......I should but cain't right now.

Congrats on 6 great years Eddie. Here's to a safe and successful year for all!! -
Still sick but getting better, slightly. Feed a cold-starve a fever?

All I know personally of your two choices is the Elite Answer I shoot. It is a 2012 model and I am very happy with it. That said, I've heard great things about the Obsession bows. Can you get your mitts on an Obsession bow to try out? What part of the state do you come from?

And you're concerned about your neighbors on the lease next door to you using scrape drippers TOO much?
