You haven't heard the story? (grin) I shot the doe first. Gutted her and drug her from across the gully to my side then climbed back up in the stand, waiting on a buck. 20 minutes later I saw the first 'yote sneaking along, looking at the gut pile. Shot that one, skidded it over next to the doe and climbed back up in the stand. 20 minutes later the 2nd 'yote arrived on the seen. You know what happened next already................... 90 minutes of action from start to finish. Oh yea, all shot with the T/C Encore 50cal ML. Pretty good day afield! All the hides from the three 'yotes above were tanned. Two are in my family room and the other was sold.

Cold for damned sure, no allergies for me. Also, I always sleep with my head elevated. Our headboard is up on 4" blocks to help with my stomach issues. Sucks getting old..............................

Well it seems to be my memory is like the rest of my body, failing. IIRC, I would have been using a Ithaca Model 37, smoothbore Deerslayer with a Leupold 2x Extended Eye Relief scope. He was a dandy little 6pt buck......shot in Ontario County. Hero shot a couple days later...........(a couple nice young bucks!!) -
If your husband is using an Apple product now it would be helpful to stay with an Apple product like an IPad. Why toss him a curve ball now? I got my wife an iPad a couple years ago and she is pretty dangerous with it now!l

Paypal is anti gun I've heard many say. I don't know the particulars but I use them quite often for eBay transactions with no issues.

I had a Blue Light and a couple (?) slices of pizza. How about two fingers of the good stuff?

OH MY!! I remember THOSE days, cleaning up all those lovely messes from sick kiddos with tears in their eyes....... Good luck with your little Hannah.

I bet if it was up to the DEC they would CLOSE the season. They help with population control more than lots of "deer hunters".

Man do I have a hummer of a head cold. Started yesterday afternoon with a horrid sore throat then all kinds of head pressure. This morning I had plans to get up early and head down to Ontario County for some tree stand work, stay over night and come back Sunday after some long range banging. When the alarm went off at 6am I rolled over and snuffed it out...........got up around 7:30 and told my wife I wasn't going. At 9am I was on the road. We had a very productive day as far as the tree stand/hut work but didn't feel like shooting or staying over night. Man is my head plugged now, the throat feels ok but I dread tonight..................I grabbed some Nyquil so we'll see how it goes.

I always wanted to hijack a National Grid or Verizon bucket truck for opening day but I keep chickening out.

I don't really follow DMP stuff in other areas of the state so this is eye opening for me.

Maple, oak, pine and cherry for me. What are some of the endangered trees we have here?

Too bad on that 9th point as its a deduction.

Great blurb on Dove hunting in the latest NYON issue (9/18/2015) from the editor Steve Piatt. We need more signatures on the petition guys and gals! Thanks to you Steve for getting us FRONT PAGE billing!!

Good heavens what an 8pt..................

I can dig it! You might want to stock pile those fence posts and sell 'em here.........................

Can't bait deer/bear/cops at any time of the year.

Glad I bet small..............

Gun only stands or could a guy shoot a bow out of one?

I shot at my range this afternoon as a matter of fact. Two guns went with me; my 260 Remington that has a fancy stock, barrel, decent 3.5-10 Leupold scope, Talley mounts and all machined and screwed together by a very competent gunsmith from PA and my NULA 243. Most of my shooting was done at 200 yards but at the end I shot 5 with the 260 at 100 yards and here's the group...................... I'd call the one on the FAR right a flyer and the rest are right at 3/4". The flyer bums me out but WTH........the black square is approx. 1" I shoot off of a great bench, with a great front & rear rest. I suck though......... My 243 on the other hand is 5/8"-3/4" all day and out shot the 260 and that isn't a good thing! Both guns are shooting Barnes TTSX slugs; 120's in the 260 and 80's out of the 243. Both are hunting guns of course and accuracy is important but I'm just don't have the time I used to to wring out all kinds of loads at the range. Talking about field accuracy...........I would be last place if we were shooting an offhand competition. I really suck at that. BUT.........give me a tree to at least rest my for-end hand on and I'll improve by 1000%. I NEVER ever shoot "offhand" unsupported at a deer unless he is wounded or inside of 50 yards and even then I'd rather grab a sapling in a heart beat for a rest. Carry on............................

Wow; bullets flying by the standers head, shooting and hitting a skylined buck, running with loaded guns and trying to shoot a deer in a herd that is running. Awesome.... I'll be passing on buying that DVD thank you.
