  1. No disrespect intended. How's the taxes and hunting?
  2. I've heard differing reports on the cost of the search for the two DB's in question. One report was 10 million and the other was 1 million a day, either way it is a small truck load of cash.... Why don't they offer $1,000,000 reward RIGHT NOW. If they are being helped out by anyone, a cool 7 figure number may be just enough for them to drop a dime. If they are spotted and turned in by some local yokel in East Cornhole TN who cares, give them the million bucks. Lets get this thing done............ Now back to your Father's Day Festivities.......................
  3. While we are paying attention.........note my post was in reference to the questions posed in post #48 in this thread. The poster hadn't heard of SCI before and I merely posted a response about ADK landowners and a link to SCI's main web site.
  4. You're right, they don't compare but they ARE wonderful! I like the first one, if it could talk, what would he say? The second pic is awesome. That poor little bugger that is getting squished, you can just barely see his beak! The third one looks like he is saying "Happy Father's Day" as loud as he can.

    DADS

Thanks and Happy Father's Day to all!!
  6. Smallmouth or largemouth? Either way 5lb'ers are dandy.
  7. Nice! Artificial lures?
  8. I'm pretty stingy with my meat. Most friends are going to be SOL if I ended up with one of those big bastids.........
  9. A challenge????? I love to give it a shot! I'd think my family would come up short. We can consume 4-5 boned out deer in a year. What do those deer yield, maybe 30lbs of raw meat? So 120-150lbs or so? Not sure what one of our moose would yield boned out but MAYBE 300lbs? Clueless here and don't want to Google it now............gotta run.
  10. Hopefully you're spending your Birthday with friends and family and having a grand time. What a deal, Birthday today AND Fathers Day tomorrow............................ In your honor, I'm going out and washing my sissy truck right now. Might even toss a coat of wax on it..... I was planning on spreading some topsoil but the yard is still too wet. Have a great weekend!
  11. Could be some ADK "landowners" in SCI but it has nothing to do with the the 'Daks OR NJ. http://www.scifirstforhunters.org/ Plenty of reading info there for you if you'd like.
  12. If ANYBODY could do it, it'd be Dinsdale. No question he is the real deal and certainly highly capable of any and all parts of a moose hunt. A couple other friends of mine are long time supporters of the SCI and also Life Members, they'd be the private jet guys.
  13. No fishing for me tomorrow. My day could/should be filled with moving 7 yards of dirt........
  14. You won't get an (honest) answer on that question........I promise.
  15. Ha! That's a riot!!! Ask Will how often he gets together with the local SCI chapter for meetings and hunts. 'Course we'll cover for them.......... I mean no disrespect for Will and enjoy his work most of the time but I doubt he'd toss his buds under the bus.
  16. I've seen a few live ones and one dead one.
  17. Lets hang a pie plate at 200 yards and see how things go, OK? Damn rare is the guy that has shot out to 200 yards and has the confidence to kill and NOT wound at 200 yards. Sure they are "capable" but the odds are not favorable of a clean kill. No shotgun will ever rival a CF rifle, why not grab a rifle? The confidence it gives for even a 75-100 yard shot it worth it.
  18. Around 1986 or 1987 I caught a King Salmon that would have won a derby, gotta be in it to win it. I wasn't and we didn't.
  19. WNY Chapter of SCI (or a member) wouldn't surprise me in the least as having something to do with this and as a matter of fact, I'd put money on it. Takers? I could use the cash right about now.
  20. Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate MOST of them. All is good.....last night went fine. I trust her implicitly to make good decisions. His car has a loud exhaust (friggin' rice burner) and he works construction. She has a great head on her shoulders as far as common sense and book work. Honor roll since the start 6th grade and one marking period left for high school! I never had a bit of trouble with mom's or dad's when I was dating........I could tell you some pretty interesting stories about excepting parents you WOULDN'T believe. But I won't....... I'm going to have THE cleanest guns and SHARPEST knives in town.
