Hell I thought this was going to be about a Canadian Gator.
-
I don't know, I've been lucky to do a fair amount of trips out west over the years plus a few in Canada and one in Alaska. The funds just aren't what they were for me when I was self employed. Life's changes are all apart of life and I'll roll with them.... If funds were no object, Africa would be great and maybe a bull moose in western Canada.

Ahhhh, hang in there. This place is pretty cool most of the time. Don't run off just yet......................... About you: Where do you hunt in the southern tier? How about PA, hunt there also? Mostly deer hunting or small game too? Wife, kids, dogs etc? Boxers or briefs? (oh crap forget that one..........)

All I can add to this is the many sightings of road killed fox of late. Seems like I see a new one every other day??

Congrats on the wedding! My invite must have been lost in the mail?

In the back of the old Field & Stream Magazines they had ads for them.

The Dow is down 150 points or so since 6/30 but I understand your point.

If you want to post the pics, I'll gawk 'em. What a shame. I also have a taxidermist nightmare story I can share but mine is from many moons ago........... In 1982 I hunted Texas with some great friends. It was my first out of state hunt and I sooo looked forward to it. I killed the best buck of the hunt among the 6 of us that went. He was only a fair 8pt but my biggest to date then. When I got home I dropped the well taken care of cape and horns to a locally famous (boy do I hate to phrase it like THAT!) taxidermist. A year later I was the very disappointed owner of a POS Texas 8pt shoulder mount! The cape was attached to form that was too big so a patch of hide was added to the spine area about two inches wide, from the start of the mount up to the back of the skull. The nose, mouth and tear ducts looked to be packed with black shoe polish. Ears were stuffed with cotton and the entire snout area was attached with flathead nails. F'ing nice work dude! I feel your pain brother of the bush...................................... (written while watching Family Guy, please excuse any typos)

"poorly patched up antlers put back onto the skull"? WTF does THAT mean??????????????? Good heavens....

Now I'm confused........................... Happy Birthday Mystery Man/Lady!

Rifles in 2015 for Genesee County?
Lawdwaz replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
I read that in the latest Outdoor News, YAHOO! Although I've never hunted deer in Genesee County and probably never will I couldn't be happier for you guys & gals there. Have fun sighting in and practicing this summer and early fall for the new deal. Above all, be safe! -
Sorry I didn't respond sooner but I'll tag this and try and get back to it tomorrow night........two scoops of mint tingaling and a sugar cone are making me sleepy.......................
-
I also think he is a pretty good sized bear. Looks like a he is sporting a thin summer coat..............small ears and a svelte waist line from a rough winter. Give him 120 days of chowing down on corn, apples and acorns and you'll have a 300lb bear on your hands.........................

I also have a Sako 375 H&H. Mine is a left hand deluxe model.......I killed one PA buck with it and also took it to Alaska for a bear hunt. Hopefully it goes to Africa someday because like you, that's why I bought it! -
Some things are better left quiet.

Hmmm, trying to keep it quiet huh? HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Queen for the day!

I meant get RID of my sea legs!
-
The "Ol Battle Ax" ( ) and I hit the river today. After a late start we were finally wetting the lines around 9:30 and I was into a good smallmouth quick. We only ended up catching 5 but they were good ones! Unfortunately I caught them all despite all my efforts to have the Mrs. do things MY way but alas it didn't work. I have a picture or two I'll load after I get my sea legs back..............................
