  1. If you have the hunters patterned and you saw 17 guys in the morning I'd say something went tits up, no? Oh wait........THAT was the plan?
  2. I don't have his contact information but Arnie Johnathan from Lockport/Wrights Corners area may be able to help.
  3. I'd like to know how many here have even participated in a crow or coyote hunting contest? Very few I'd guess.......... To me it seems as though the OP is just stirring the pot.
  4. Depending on the weather, plans for the rest of the day or shear boredom I'm good (during archery season) for about 3 hour sits. If I get there to freaking early I'm losing seat time, simple as that because I'll hit the road. During the rut that amount of time can and does change to the plus side. Gun season opening days are all day sits.........no matter what. I'm in a climber and come down once for Mother Nature and other than that won't come down until dark or I crack one. After opening day, the three hour regimen starts up again. Afternoon hunts sometimes aren't as long for bow or gun because I have a life outside of hunting. Why burn seat time in the dark? I'm in about 30 minutes before sunrise and ready to hunt.
  5. 7" here in Amherst. Funny stuff; light fluffy on top/wet heavy & sticky on bottom..........ugly!
  6. Well said. I have one set I use and another I don't. The ones I use are from Gander Mtn, Gorilla maybe? The ones I don't use are from Lone Wolf. I just didn't feel comfortable with my big feet on those little pegs. I'll probably sell them at some point.
  7. So first light is what, 30 minutes before sunrise? And you are going in two hours before legal shooting time, sometimes earlier? And you pattern other hunters? You are super human.................................You MUST have a wall full of trophy deer hunting like THAT!
  8. Ahh never mind, I deleted four sentences that would have been in poor taste. Enjoy your hour.
  9. I think that guy is a member here??
  10. There's gonna be some pretty disappointed folks reading THAT message.
  11. Town ordinance says no hunting, hence it doesn't matter how far he is from his neighbors.
  12. I like my 2-7, 2.5-9 and 3.5-10 Leupolds but can certainlly see the benefits of a fixed 4x. What I don't get is the guys that need a 50mm objective. WTH man, with the legal shooting hours we have whats the need?
  13. I have two Pendleton shirts. They are marked XXL but fit much more like XL. They are washable and I think they may have shrunk a little from the XXL to XL. $60 shipped
  14. Less than ten years ago I saw a tremendous buck on the north side of the 400 just past the Union Rd exit. I'm talking 160's class hogger.........no guff.
  15. Nice job weighing her. You REALLY should get her aged. Congrats......
  16. Wooly can add to this discussion!!
  17. I'd be looking for a good divorce lawyer if they did THAT.
  18. Nice job! I killed one back about 12 years ago on the last day of regular season that had the same issue. When he hit the ground he lost one horn, the other came off when I grabbed the remaining horn so as to gently lower him to the ground. They hang in the basement and were used for rattling for a couple years.
