Where are you located? Edit to add.....I found you are in the Capital Region. I can't help you there with a recommendation but maybe others can chime in. I don't know what you physical capabilities are but if you could get someone to drop the big one and do the trimming on the standing trees you and some friends could possibly cut up the big downed tree and dispose of it?? I'd be tickled to help with the slice & dice on the ground but my climbing days are OVER! Best.........................

We had an absolutely beautiful day today. I spent the morning here in Buffalo and the afternoon in Waterport, Orleans County. Sure got lucky as I see they had flooding again in the southern tier. -

How are you planning on approaching these fields? You sure aren't going to walk to the edge in the mud & muck. By Boat? You could be asking for trouble if the water is so high as to be flooding fields. I had my little dinghy out in the Erie Canal a few weeks ago after heavy rains and the floating logs, tree limbs and other odd stuff was unreal. You could be asking for trouble.........

Lockport was hammered............ Real bad in the city. I've had calls from Coolidge, Pine & Genesee st. Most people won't have coverage or minimal at best. Damn.....

Most farmers own some kind of a digging equipment to get rid of problems................. Or a manure spreader.

Other than finding the space in a kayak for a deer, I'd think it would be pretty tippy with one in it as it will always be fighting the right way to balance the boat. Leave the deer with the guts in it and tow it back across the water! (I just don't know if they'd float gutted??)

Tonight in Arcade, 223ai on a hot summer's night, 3 shots, 3 kills. (Pretty good pokes, too) Only problem is my spot that has been very good for the last 4 years or so is now 100% all corn! I killed these three on the farmers lane going into the fields. In a few weeks the corn will be too tall to shoot over so I'll be SOL. They are all holed up on the edges of the 400 yard long lane, for now.

You get what you pay for. But......... Without a pile of more information it would be impossible to compare. I've hunted AK, CO, WY, AL, TX, TN, PA, Quebec & Saskatchewan. Killed in all but AK & AL. Wherever you go, good luck! Ahh crap, edit to add that I only bow hunted in CO, WY, PA & Saskatchewan. The others were gun........
