Nice going guys. There is nothing like archery hunting, enjoy it!

I demolished a box of those carmel bastards yesterday that some evil liitle girl was selling out in front of the old B Quick market in Youngstown. The 40 minute ride back to the shop insured their demise........... Boy were they good!!

Well put. I concur 100% with this reply! Handloading for me is a blast. <grin> Working up loads and spending time at the range are things I do in the off season. (Jan-Sept) and keep me off the streets and out of trouble. The only game I've taken with a CF rifle in the past 20+ years that wasn't with a handload was a buck in PA back in 1997 with, gulp......a 375 H&H.

I'd take a good look at the Tikka guns. Being an older guy, I assume you are responsible enough to NOT loose the detachable magazine. <grin> You will really get your money's worth out of one. 243, 260 or 7mm-08. The model is a T3, stainless or blued.

Atta boy! Nice enough buck and a great shot, congrats.

I wouldn't expect any decisions on this issue until next October.

I've been putting holes in trees for many years with no ill effects.

Because..........?

Congrats, I hope your hooked on this archery/bowhunting thing!

I like the RealTree EZHang. Been using one for years.

Sounds like respect to me. Good job, I had a feeling you'd come around. Have a good night.

Do you think that picture is in good taste?

Would you register all your guns?

What do you do when you sell a gun that you registered with NYC? -

This would work just fine and be the envy of your friends and neighbors............... http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/7054928/WTS_TarHunt_Custom_870_Slug_Gu#Post7054928 -
NULA 209 ML, 275gr Parker Ballistic Extremes, SR4759 powder for opening day in Ontario County. When I hunt Wyoming County it will be the NULA 7mm-08 or Remington 243 or the NULA 300WSM. (hell if I know, see how I feel that day) Late in the gun season in Livingston County it will be the 260Remington XP 100R (Pygmy Special). Pennsylvania opening day, if the weather is decent (pussy that I am) it'll be the Sako 25-06. If is a typical SHIIT day in PA. I'll take the NULA 7mm-08 Golly, I think I like rifles.........

I took my son out on a youth waterfowl hunt one year on Columbus Day weekend. Well, the damn "youth hunt" was slated to be held Sunday & Monday, NOT Saturday. Guess who had a good hunt on Saturday? Oooooppps.... A number of years ago my buddy and I spent two nights in a Gang Mills hotel room while hunting PA. The second morning we checked out of the room at around 5:30am and headed uo to our PA spot. I went to the back seat of the truck and "gasp".....my rifle was not there!! I left it in the hotel room. Crap, 25 minutes each way and plenty of lost time but I got my rifle no problems.

I bet your neighbor is having a turkey dinner tonight.................

I'd bet you wished it was a 243 thumpin' your shoulder instead of that blasted shotgun?? Next year for sure.......................

In regard to the picture (THAT is what this thread was started for) I would never take a picture of an animal with an arrow protruding from any part of the body, especially the face. Whenever I can, all pics are taken before field dressing in a somewhat tasteful set up. Having respect for the game comes in many forms, from shot decisions to proper equipment (sighted in guns, sharp broadheads) and pictures. Nobody has screwed up more than me, NOBODY. All you can do at this point is learn from it.

Why do you knuckle heads think I posted it that way?? Did you watch the video?????

I saw this on another site and thought it would a good one to pass on. It is well worth 8 minutes of your time if you do cut your own deer or would like to start doing your own. You certainly don't need to work as fast as this guy but should be able to get 'er done in 20 minutes or so......<grin> Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xijmge8_NJw&feature=related
