  1. Destructive but interesting critters!
  2. I've been getting it for a while. The content is current and that's what matters. I want to know what is going on NOW in NYS. Certainly can't get that from my local rag, the Buffalo News. They'll do a fishing story during deer season, please.......... Hey Bendog, how long has the paper been around?
  3. Good job Rocket Man. If that's the smallest you ever shot, wow! Put up some pics of your bigger kills if you can.
  4. I didn't start reloading 20 years ago to save money.
  5. A couple hours worth of cruising the powder company web sites for loading data may help you nail down some more ideas if those already offered don't cut it for you. I'd also check out the Nosler site for data.
  6. I have a laundry list of things wrong with my left shoulder but none are bad enough for Dr. Sawbones to scrub up for. And the pain in my right shoulder is...................... :'(
  7. Oh, all be fine. If they can't get my wing back in shape I'll be thinking CROSSBOW!
  8. The way things are going, you might have them in time for spring gobbler season? I'm having my 5th MRI in 7 weeks next Monday. Ultrasound, EMG & xray also. Nerve issues in my shoulder leading to muscle atrophy. I feel like I'm being used my these Dr's..........I feel cheap and dirty I'll make sure my wife has your contact information. Thanks for the concern, Uncle Dan!
  9. I just penciled you in...............................
  10. Yup, I'd like to find a good one also. Let me know what you come up with ;D Lat/long work for me.
  11. Very sound reasoning. An experienced hunter/shooter at the keyboard.
  12. South end. It just is amazing to me that with all the coyotes, hawks, fox etc that any deer, turkey, pheasants etc. can survive. Amazing to see the amount of wild cock birds in the area.
  13. This picture is from 2005. I killed the doe first, let her lay for a bit before gutting her and waited for a buck to show. After dressing her out and dragging her to my side of the gully, I climbed back into my Summit and figured I'd just sit and wait until it was time to meet my partners for some breakfast. Well, after 20 minutes or so a coyote comes slinking in, looking for a gut pile I assume. Bang/flop. I climb back down, cross the gully again and drag the 'yote over next to the doe. Well, quite a morning I have going! Climb back into the climber and shimmy up the tree. 20 minute later the 2nd song dog shows up and bang/run. He didn't go far, only 40 yards or so. Well, that was a good morning. Two coyotes and a doe, all in less than 2 hours and shot with a T/C Encore 50 caliber muzzleloader. Lima, NY.
  14. and where would you get that out of anything said on this thread?... you really need to lay of the weed man! Hey Bottle Rocket, I said it. NOT nyantler.
  15. I'd pop that deer and let they coyotes feast on all that wonderful safe to eat meat. YMMV.
  16. Certainly worthy of a bullet...........
  17. Nice stories guys. I really enjoy seeing pics of the western hunts. Brings back some great memories and makes the desire to get back even stronger.
  18. IMO, not really "hunting" just performing a service. Bait helps to make it more productive, it's strictly a numbers game.
  19. Hey.......maybe I'd put "Ted N" on my arrows and wrap them in black and white? THAT would throw them off!
  20. Last thing I want is my name on an arrow...... ;D Too easy to track me then!
  21. You need a sponsor for arrows & broadheads......................... ;D
  22. I don't remember the arm band. I put a few of those tags on bucks also but I didn't want to admit it until somebody else did because I didn't remember if it was legal. (Thanks Dan) ;D
  23. Good outcome. Glad you can share that with your wife. Certainly not for everyone but it works for you! Hunt together with the gun also?
