  1. yeah... but those alternatives. Basically other options, and likely not to be the case if they didn't make the press release. seems they're hanging their hat on the one they communicated. In my business world I always go in with my plan and I have my alternatives in my back pocket.
  2. I don't understand the confusion or shot at communication... they state over and over words like expand, in addition too.
  3. you will always place the string on the same spot of your nose which is good for horizontal accuracy, but you may place the string at a different vertical positions of the string if that makes sense. Note I didn't really see any benefit at 20 yards without it, but I did get better groupings at 35 where just a little bit of difference matters. I think if you have a rock solid jaw placement and you're happy with that, then don't bother. $17 isn't a ton of money for me and I had an issue in the stand last year with a facemask and I'm confident this would have prevented it by getting my vertical positioning correct.
  4. I had a kisser installed on my new Mathews Traverse last year but it popped off early on. I went looking for another make and model a few weeks ago and stumbled upon nose buttons. I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the device and at $17, it's not a bad item to try if you're looking for an improved anchor. I did have to adjust my horizontal site just a tad as I'm using the tip of my nose vs the side now. I can also more easily shoot with 2 eyes open and my groupings at 35 improved instantly. Hardest part of the install is tying the knot haha. Anyhow, thought I'd share the love for those unaware of them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0858KLXKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  5. that's fair. plus there was some crying, and bug bites and cuts to deal with. All in all, a good ROI.
  6. cheap? heck it's free! haha
  7. and here I am sweating my ass off to drag a hang on and some sticks into the woods this past weekend haha. some real cool builds here guys!
  8. same. and to be clear, even on private land I still put an orange hat on walking in and out, and a vest if I'm tracking.
  9. i think 3-4 is better than 2 weeks some are posting. What are you gaining checking that much other than scratching an itch? During the season I would only pull the ones near the stand i'm hunting and not go traipsing all through the woods.
  10. glad you're ok chef. the hanging of the stand is always the most dangerous part.
  11. Plenty of posts on here making reference to her having a Dick between here legs and being a man, references to being a shaved Sasquatch ect. Now maybe that's not insulting in your book, but that's your perspective. Over the years here there are plenty. If you want to getting to pissing contest have at it ......or you can spend a day scrolling through search results. no desire. Insulting someone's appearance as a joke is very different from calling them a whore. Neither is nice, but one is kind of funny and the other is just mean. I mean, look at chef's ugly mug...
  12. show me an example of a member calling the former first lady a whore/prostitute/hooker etc. and I'll concede. Heck, just yesterday I called out someone for some fake news on Harris, and there was a whole other thread with backlash on Harris as well.
  13. wolc. all there is public land in that area. it's harder to find private land than stumble on private. I'm off uncas and you can walk for miles and miles without running into a road. If you're nervous about boundaries, On-X is a good app, but you have to pay to play. All that said, bear is freaking hard. I've gone months without seeing one on a trail cam even, let alone the weekend I get to hunt them.
  14. disagree. plenty have been called out for crossing the line. I also don't see stand alone michelle obama posts, or other than some pretty unfunny memes, none that call her a whore...
  15. maybe it'd be different if it wasn't a stand alone post though right? anyhow, support the tourney and in turn support the man and his views
  16. uhh.. her dad's african american. Come on now guys.
  17. Very distasteful Chef. Good luck with your regional tournament.
  18. cool video man. Particularly loved the call to dad. To me this is the most special part and it's often missing from the big budget deer shows. Doesn't show what really matters to us.
  19. keep the lexus and buy/lease a truck. that's what i did haha
  20. i've seen far worse and i've seen better. Honestly though the best boards I visit do not allow religious, political, etc. posting in the off-topic section. I'm not advocating that be the case here, but when you remove controversial topics that people hold deeply to their core, the less chance you have of people going at each other on a personal level, and instead it's more like "you're a doofus because you don't shoot a mathews and drive a ford".
