still sounds like it's a form of public land without restrictions no? Unless you own the land there's not much you can do. It's the same with leasing or having permission to hunt private land. One day that guy you have permission for sole access to 100 acres is going to die or sell. You cant get all flustered when the new guy who buys the land does so because he's a hunter himself and doesn't want you there. Now, dont get me wrong, land is expensive and not always available, but it is what it is.

take off your tinfoil hats people. the only thing that "might" come of this is them now banning the pre-ban 10+ round mags. And if they do, they're not coming to your door to collect them because there is no record of you owning one.

you and I are in the same boat. Those that do have an arsenal will never be convinced otherwise so don't waste your breath. There is no need for mags over 10 rounds. You can have your AR as far as I'm concerned but you don't need that amount of capacity for plinking. Honestly if they banned military style firearms I wouldn't shed a tear, but the fear you and I should have as hunters is "where do they stop?" 5 years from now somebody shoots up a mall with a semi automatic remington 12 gauge and then they go after them? My dad and I are big conservative hunters and my mom is a liberal teacher. it's funny to be at our dinner table sometimes. I don't think you should risk ruining relationships defending the second amendment to a group who is stuck in their ways, just like some of the gun nuts are stuck in theirs. If approached my response would be the truth. I own 2 guns that i use to hunt. It's a healthy sport i use to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and it even feeds my family. See what their response is to that. ditto. I think non hunters would really be surprised how many well educated, financially successful hunters are out there. Heck, I built my own computer and I can change the brakes on my car. Take that! haha.

never understood prepping for the "end of the world" if the world ends you're done. I can understand prepping for zombies, super flu, war, financial collapse etc. but end of the world is end of the world.

did you really just type that? land mines and war are not legal... not even in Afghanistan. If they were you could buy one at the local corner. And the Geneva convention was a pretty good attempt to limit "civilized war". There are of course Rebels in all countries that break these laws. We call them criminals and most are locked up.

So I've been putting this off for a while. Mostly because before July of this year I spent 10 years in Erie county which makes it very difficult to obtain CC and generally only hands out hunting and target. Anyhow I called today and they're backed up till February just for me to get in for fingerprints and an application. Looks like a lot of people are thinking the same thing I am. I imagine instead of the normal 3 months it'll be a good 9 for me to be approved... if at all
