When do you stop entering the woods before the season opener?
pewlodar replied to SteveNY's topic in Deer Hunting
I hunt public park land. There are people hiking and bike as I sit in my stand. I could have a conversation with most of them if they took a minute to look around. Deer for the most part don't care they are there. -
I am excite for this bow season. Picked up a nice new to me Elite Z28. 55# draw weight 28 in draw length Black Eagle Carnivores with Muzzy MX3. Been a dream shooting getting ready for the season.

You do know there are existing wells in NY that are vertically fracked and have been in place for many year right?
-
So if I understand correctly, you are willing to spend several thousand dollars to survey the lines and paint a tree but putting up a simple sign it too bothersome? I have to follow the law and know were your line is but you don't have to follow the law to post it?

I don't have a problem banning lead bullets. Any one have extra split shot, was hoping to do some fishing this afternoon.

Classic.

Did you try your local electric supplier. They usually provide the first pole and a set distance of wire for free with a new service. If you need more they will do it, and can charge you. Another option is an Electrical contractor. One who does more commercial work would be more likely to add poles and service.

What g-man said. You could outfit yourself with lone wolf hang on with sticks and save some money, I think. Wish I had those sticks.
-
As you said you get what you pay for. Quiet, ease of use, easy to pack. I have a sit and climb lone wolf and love it. Rock solid in the tree. I don't mind the comfort level some find questionable.

Check out Black Eagle Carnivores. Great arrow for the money. $65 1/2 dozen. A fellow member recommended South Shore Archery. I strongly recommend check them out to order from.

Get some ear buds and microphones. Works most of the time. If you are hunting very hilly area sometimes they don't work.

Now that is a camp fire!

Yes it is absurd...but so is only being able to buy 10oz of soda at a time.

3rd on the dell outlet. And for video editing get as much RAM as you are willing to pay for. That should last until you update to the full HD cinema film camera to capture your wild game hunts.

Problem is the wildlife oppressed by the swan don't contribute enough money to be consider important. They would rather protect a invasive species.

Auburn to Victor is less then one hour, maybe 30-40 mins? They are probably hope to retain as much market as possible in Rochester with Field and Stream and Cabelas.
-
I picked one up at Cabela's last season. You can also try Sportsman's Guide or some place like that. I think I remember them having some. It was hard to find one then I thought it should have been.

If it was me, not sure I would go on the property let alone hunt it without written permission from the owner. That's just asking for trouble. Doesn't matter what the farmer says unless he has hunting rights in his lease. Then it may be a different story. But that's just me...

Not sure I have heard it called a swing arm but some Dump trucks that deliver stone have a conveyor belt system attached called a sling. The truck empties by releasing stone onto the belt and the stone is "thrown" or slung into place. A good driver/operator can probably throw the stone about 100 ft and with decent accuracy. They can spread the material as thin or thick as you want. Costs more then dump and go delivery but saves time and effort of spreading material yourself.

Anyone install their own Above Ground Pool?
pewlodar replied to burmjohn's topic in General Chit Chat
My MIL's AGP had a center floor drain up here in Rochester. The only thing we did was disconnect from the filter and tie it up real good. You would lose a lot of water if it fell over. Never had an issue with it through the winter. -
Congrats... In 20 yrs I can only hope mine do as well.

Yeah couple isolated areas got hammered. 4 plus inches of rain does a lot of damage.
