i don't hunt out of ladder stands but others have a few on the farm i've setup for them. i've got some hangons i use and then a climber that goes basically until i reach branches anywhere from 10' up to 20+' up. during bow season i use the climber more than anything.

yea going rate for a 2019 1500 denali is advertised at 64-65k around here but they'd go for less to move it. terms "nicely equipped" and "denali" are redundant. lol

it's awesome they haven't hammered them to dirt. exclusion cage looks like the plot is getting little pressure. seems promising it'll be waiting for them come early fall.

all new vehicles are worth more than they actually are. stupid how much money vehicles are now. i have a 2013 extended cab gmc sierra shoulder room is nice still but leg room (aka car seat room) will screw you hard. looking to possibly replace the wife's 2019 jetta and we have to go big at least a mid sized suv to plan for possible kid room. extended cabs aren't made anymore. double cabs same size except with normal swing doors. need to go crew cab or bigger for space front to back like others have said.

that thing will be a dream compared to a shotgun. hard to imagine a rifle shooting that well for that price but they do. fit and finish isn't what it used to be in rifles but they perform just as well. on a separate note i hope the 10/22 likes that ammo you picked up. best of luck getting her dialed in.

With my schedule I hunt when I can that's usually not preferred. All my stands will produce deer. Still every buck is different. Where I hunt also gets heavy pressure that influences movement including into these sanctuaries. They dont stay in them so they alone arent enough. So I save certain stands or climber stand locations for into the rut. Most people hunting then, deer move, and they seek out pockets less pressured. It helps create a pattern in my favor if a buck is already there. If his nose and hot tail leads him somewhere else that's beyond my control. Doe harvests are rarely in cover and early in the season now as possible. Always in higher people traffic areas they use to feed. Might take me a little longer but it doesnt add more pressure than what is already going to happen. You hunt deer with a plan fir whatever deer your after buck or doe, not just where you see the most and hope something specific shows up. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

it's really hard to age deer in velvet. their body characteristics we look for change a lot once testosterone gets flowing closer toward the rut. it looks like they'll be both all of 3.5 years old or more. things like the neck falling low on the chest still are a good sign theyre older, aside from the antlers not being small.

assuming you use an index finger operated trigger release, check your release length at anchor. most common thing i see is the barrel is too long or trigger too far away. if you have to reach at all with your finger it'll force you to "pluck" at it. set the length so your finger is relaxed and naturally curved with the end pad sitting right at the trigger. wrist buckle straps are perfect otherwise make sure you tighten velcro the same amount each time you put the release on for a consistent anchor and trigger position. shooting wise you should be able to touch the trigger without firing or squirming around like a worm on a hook. if you can't practice this until you can without releasing an arrow. just aim without shooting then let down as soon as you're tired. if you can touch it but lack a good pull the trigger position will help some but focus on putting tension on it, keep tension while aiming, and then tighten your shoulder blades together to command the release. just don't rely too much on back tension or you'll fatigue fast and won't be able to hold draw as long. also your form will suffer. draw arm goes past being in line with your arrow shaft and you being in balance with pushing and pulling will be inconsistent. you'll see groups open up left to right or single arrows off one side or the other. for other variations of target panic it also helps to aim and practice at bow tuning setup. take tape and make a horizontal or separated vertical line on your target but don't cross the two. it's easier mentally to aim and hit a vertical or horizontal line than a single point of aim. after that start with bigger aim points like a paper plate that your pin won't totally cover up. finally as you progress increase yardage. shooting at longer distance help you kill any bad habits but it'll make them readily apparent and show you how they effect your arrows impact or consistency (groups).

i completely understand what you're talking about as well. i was raised that way too. growing up though i've understood that you have to evolve or you won't make it in life. jobs aren't becoming fewer they're changing. it's too bad when people feeling struggle put themselves in a box and they think all i can ever do or be is a person inside this box. in reality if they put themselves outside the comfortable box that's all they've ever known, they'll know the box inside and out. they'll know it better than anyone, especially someone that's never had to be in the box to begin with. you can't be taught that and fully understand it. that makes you valuable and creates opportunity if you're open to it.

somewhere there's a company that made that self checkout. they employ engineers to the necessary guy sweeping the floors of the bldg. this isn't meant or intended to be personal but that statement is a little close minded.

i just had an experience with self check out here at Walmart minutes ago. set a weighed produce item in the bagging area and it said "unexpected item in bagging area". then it read on screen that i needed to put said item in bagging area. BS went on for a short while until i just scanned everything and paid without putting everything in the bagging area. during that process i looked at a couple associates standing there. they never did a thing or make eye contact to help me. in their defense they did end up help someone cancel out the same fault before me at another POS. in this world people aren't always going be willing to help you out, ensure your well being, or that you keep any given job. it's up to you to handle shit and prepare to get screwed over. i don't necessarily dislike unions but hate how they force employers to tow along the worst employees. i have no reservations using things like automated checkout that are already there.

i have warm season mesh jacket that has leaf patterns cut out and stitched to it. i wear it during turkey season and early bow if it's too warm. nothing close to a true ghillie though.
