  2. At the 250 price point you can get into some solid glass. With that budget there is nikon, vortex, and you are in the range of fixed power leopulds (how often do you actually change the setting on your variable?) By the best scope you can... Nothing worse then dead glass in the field. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. Thats a lovely floral print! My great grandma had curtins that same pattern! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

  5. I second that option... spend the extra 50. Was in the same boat as you in my younger days.... What I spent on cheap scopesI could have bought a Leopold. About 12 years ago I bought my first 2x7 Nikon for a NE 45-70. paid more for the glass then I did the gun... Its still on it, still hold zero, and I have 3 more of them on different guns... Well worth the purchase. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

  10. Its the whole double standard thing that gets me... most kids would eat what they serve, or sent home, but we cant serve it to our daycare kids.. (and yes we were cited for serving hotdogs) So they let my kid not eat, even when we send him with things he will eat and meet the guildlines set... by them... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. Let me start by saying my wife runs a daycare in our home in which we have to follow strict dietary guildlines... which brings us to today... We sent my youngest son ( to our school summer fum program..(swimming lessons, basketball, crafts and the such). Now my son has good tastes in food, doesnt lile the normal kids food bit loves steak, shrimp, asparigus.. things like that. So day 1 we sent him in with a lunch know he wont eat 3/4 of what the school serves, and we were informed we were not allowed to do that... Ok so we loaded him up with breakfast and he eats lunch when he gets back. So today, friday, they send a package home with all the kids with food items for the weekend... Boxed mac and cheese, a can of spageetios, a small thing of sugar cinamin apple sause, brown sugar oat meal, and a choco chip garnola bar.... I get what they are doing.. feeding kids who may need while not singlimg them out but here it the thing... NONE of the food they sent is accepted by the state as servable to kids. We cannot serve these things to our daycare kids, but the state can serve it to MY kid. He wont eat this stuff at school, so why do they sent it home with him? whole thing just makes me scratch my head... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  12. The push for the rack is a push for the cash. Gadgets, bait, clothes, gear, TV celeberties selling said stuff all on the premise of getting bigger racks. Wouldn't work if the promtion was shooting the most spot on the fur. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. she was right... ever had one self lower??? handle goes full auto and takes out everything in its way! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. Except the french and russian revolutions were a supressed majority uprising against a ruling majority. All revolution has a high expectation of violence and blood shed. Even here in the US when the southern revolution was suppressed by the north. The point Im trying to push across is this needs to be a last resort. Intensions going in are always noble and correct in the eyes of those who begin, but end results are never guarented, and rarely does the end come out as planned. So at this point we need to keep pushing the current system as it was intended. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. However for revolution to exsist the small vocal group must be preaching the sediments of the quiet majority... The quiet majority simply doesnt care about many of these social causes... As for the education system... change is headed there as well.. just not overnight. There are more teachers taking a conservitive view (at least where my kids go to school) then there were 10 years ago. The visionary change the world hippie group is retiring and those who are taking there place are finding they were not left with the same well built foundation that the people that they are replacing were left. It took us 50 yrs to get us to the situation we are in now but I do belive the corner been turned.. it just takes time to refocus on whats important. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. heres the thing pap... most of these groups that are throwing thier lives in our faces are small fractions within there group...and the groups they are in are a small fraction of the totals. yes they are vocal, and pushed by a biased, agenda driven media (I refuse to call them the press) but as the elections since 2009 have proved the silent majority will have the final say. The shift back to common sense basics has stared, it wont be instant and will be fought, but it has started.. (as the supreme court today upheld the Trump travel ban) Now most americans dont care who the person walking down the street is sleeping with or which church they may or may not belong to, they are more concerned about thier own jobs, bills, meal, houses, kids, college... and the list goes on. The termoil created by the activist are part of the divide and concour group and when we allow the panic of tbis to set in, is when they win. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  17. I see it like this..... Its the in your face culture thats driving all the turmoil in society. If 2 guys are holding hands walking down the street, 2 women kiss getting on the bus, some one wants to wear something different.... I dont care.. period... If someone shoves a sign in in my face or starts yelling at me for because the view something that I really dont care about or have an opinion on, the reaction they receive back is not because they happen to be x y or z its because I have my own world to contend with and dont have the time nor patients to deal with thiers. 18. Universally accepted simply wont happen... politcs are involved... we live in the most corrupt state in the US. The majority of the common land owners who might get a little something in return are generally for it.... Those in populated areas who will see little to no return are generally against it.. It all simply comes down to money. The urban area has it and controlls what the rural areas will get... Its become a sad state of affairs here in good ole NY. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. An easy way of checking over browse is to put a wire box in the middle of the plot... about 2 to 3 ft square. if the box grows and the rest of the plot is thin its a browes issue. if nothing is strong may be a soil/moisture issue. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. Great approch! Getting the pH up will help push out some weeds, mowing before current weeds go to seed will help in the long run. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
